Sorry If posted before- but this was hilarious

Ripten writes:

"These stories are getting a bit stale, aren't they? Not stale enough, apparently, or maybe it's just not important for Microsoft to fix their sh*t. You see, my latest Xbox 360 is dead. I purchased a new Arcade version in January after my then current 360 was assassinated. I've been using it since then until it started freezing, at which time I moved it to the other television and used it solely for movie-watching. Less than eight months later, it does nothing but blink red and laugh at me.

My relationship with the 360 has become abusive. I try to remember only the good times we had and pretend that the times he hit me are long gone. The 360 keeps telling me that he's changed, and I believe it because I love the 360. Then, for no reason, the 360 gets mad and throws me down a flight of stairs, I call the police, and the 360 goes into rehab for 2 weeks.

Then he shows up at my door, gift-wrapped, and we go back to doing all of the fun things that made me love him in the first place. Every time we get together, though, I'm always fearful that he will slip into his abusive ways. Sometimes the 360 will freeze during a game, and I reset it hoping that I will see green lights and not red ones. Sometimes I turn it on and see no lights for a few seconds, and I get scared. I never know when the 360 is going to hurt me again."

Not Funny at all... But I do know a few guys who literally got tired sick of the RROD and got rid of it just to get themselves a Ps3 shortly after.

I have 2 360 and have never got the RRoD, thankfully.

It sucks for those that do.

But I'm sure its getting more reliable by the day.

I've read 1,000 stories of people comparing the 360 to being "abusive".

I dont really find it funny anymore, and quite unoriginal. But yeah, getting the RROD does indeed ruin your day.... then week... and if MS really screws up your request (like me) then... the next two whole months

Not had a problem with either of my 360's both are going strong. as for that n4g.com automatically makes all things unacceptable and unworthy.

Yeah that thing is junk. I would never accept the gross incompetence of MS if Sony had not already taught me to love crap quality game systems with great libraries.

Honestly that wasn't funny. I think the only people that would find it humorous are people that want to see the 360 fail.

But, I agree with the 2nd sentence. I mean really, why won't MS just fix it already? I don't get it. Is it a mystery to them? Will a cure to cancer be discovered before the RROD can be fixed?

When I had a 360 before I sold it to get a PS3, it got the RROD once, but I stayed calm and just told myself i'll try it again later and see how it is, didn't let it bother me or anything, and guess what? When I turned it on later it was working fine, and continued to for many more months until I sold it. You see, I was the one in charge with my relationship with my 360, I called the shots, and that one time when it decided to try and get on my nerves, I took no notice of it, let it know that I could do without it. The problem with people is they are too busy adoring their 360's to think of the consequences of letting it get the better of them. The 360 is only there to satisfy it's owner, like a woman in the 50's, it has no say in anything other than how much effort it's going to put into giving you a good time, it doesn't deserve a life of it's own.

Now the Wii is like a young teenage girl, not as mature as the other types available but full of quick thrills that you can't help but ignore. You'll see it once and it will grab your full attention, the Wii isn't looking for anything serious and neither are you, you both just want to have a quick bit of fun and carry on with your lives, maybe hook up again a few months later and repeat the process, but you never feel as though the Wii is giving you enough to make it a serious consideration for a partner, and the Wii is happy with grabbing the attention of everyone for small amounts of time.

And the PS3 is a good all rounder who will always keep you intrested but might not satisfy some of you, forcing you to go for the Wii or 360. When you grow older and want to have something you can use with ease and get more than one purpose out of the PS3 will stand out for you.
