Myth Busters: Crysis is PC's only graphical / technical marvel [56k]

So lately I've been under the impression that a fair number of people believe Crysis is PCs only graphics and technical marvel since 2007. But this thread is here to show you that there is a lot more than just "Crysis." So feel free to post some screens :)

I'll start us off with a couple: (Shattered Horizon, Arma II)

Shattered Horizon looks unbelievable.

Duh it aint, only blind fanboys think that. And they usualy think that UC2, GoW3, GeoW2 or KZ2 look better... So this wont do anything realy...

You're crazy. Crysis doesn't have godlike graphics. Multiple games come close, especially the two TC showed us.

Duh it aint, only blind fanboys think that. And they usualy think that UC2, GoW3, GeoW2 or KZ2 look better... So this wont do anything realy...

Why I played the Free Weekend on Shattered horizon I could not get my game to look like that. I set everything to the max too.

Everytime I see "Myth Busters" I think it's the actual show experimenting with video games! Disappointed yet again...

Some STALKER SOC screens with 2009 complete mod, the newer ones look much better, too lazy to take screens of them though. Shattered Horizon looks amazing too by the way.

I'd like to point out the parallax mapping and the amazingly detailed bump mapping of the bricks in the last photo, it's amazing to go up to the walls and what you see actually looks like individual bricks and not just some flat 2d painting of something that resembles a brick wall, simply amazing.

ARMA 2 does look pretty good:)

I tried, but I couldn't get it to load. Chrome is acting up lately.

Shattered Horizon looks amazing. Graphics-wise, PC games are miles ahead of consoles and Crysis isn't the only game that proves that statement is true.

Stalker Clear sky with some graphcis mdos is one of the more impressive looknig games i've played

What about Empire Total War? That looks good too... so does UT3.

Crytek must love the attention Crysis gets for its graphical prowess, even three years after its release.

Both of those games look great. I would also like to add DiRT 2 to the list. Call me crazy, but it looks pretty damn good.

arma2 is just one of those games you have to play in motion to get how awesome it looks, but ill try to post some better screens

Heres some shattered horizon pics and these aren't even maxed out have shaders and shadow on medium and textures on high.

I don't get it. Am I the only one that think Shattered Horizon doesn't look that great. It's nothing mind blowing like Crysis did when it first came out. Judging by the screen shots, I still think that Crysis looks very pretty. Shattered Horizon, not so much. nchan
