Dude...I want to play that.

But yeah, there should be a Wii Mario Kart with remote steering.

You do realise that Nintendo probable licensed it to Namco just to make the arcade game right? Its not like Namco can just make a Mario Kart of their own and release it on Wii withouth Nintendo giving them permission to do it

nintendo gave them the license to do it. theyve done that alot with namco, they game them the license to use link in soul caliber, make the dk games and starfox games after rare left. i wouldnt be surprised if they make games for the wii using nintendo licenses.

This game probably isn't worthy of an actual release on the Wii...

The development of a lot of newer coin operated games is low to mid range budgets and intended to kill time in short bursts while generating some revenue...Racing is really popular still so these machines will sell easily. That's probably a $12,000 machine. So if the budget for developing the game itself is in the 6 figure or low 7 figure range the majority of the cost is the cabinet itself. Which is the fun part to begin with, wheel, pedals, sound in the seat...

Namco does make some bad decisions. They had a Ridge Racer game on both the PS3 and 360 but not the Wii. The PS3 sales weren't all that great at launch and on the 360 they had to compete with PGR 3/NFS and that was a battle they were never going to win. The Wii on the other hand sold great at launch and lacked a good car racing game. They also ported Idol Master to the 360 instead of the Wii/PS3 and while it sold well for an Xbox 360 game releasing a game that is only going to be available in Japan on the 360 sounds strange to me unless MS paid them lots of cash or something. That said, I hope they bring Idol Master to the US and PAL countries to try to boost sales.

Namco is trying to keep the arcade machines alive. They are the #1 distributor of new machines around the world. They buy from everyone, even competition like Sega and Konami.

Uh...no.

The Arcade will make more money than the Wii version would at this time. Maybe a port will come, maybe not.

The thing is, the Arcade Hardware is more powerful than the Wii, so I don't blame them.

First, arcades are extremely popular in Japa and bring in alot of money.

Second, they might not be allowed to make a Mariokart game for the Wii.
