I asked because there haven't been any announced games that are better looking than Gears Of War. Even Halo 3 (Alpha, Beta, whatever) doesn't look as good as GeOW. This concerns me because the Xbox 360 might have almost reached its full potential and since it is easier to develop for, achieving it is easier and faster.

Hmm, yes... You might wanna sell it now and buy something else since it still might get really good games, but not that good graphically.

Bioshock i imagine cos of the water effects.

The reason Gears is so good is because the developers managed to get the graphics and the art style spot on. That perfect merger made for excellent visuals.

It's going to be tough to beat, but it's not because Gears maxed out the 360's potential.

Mass effect, Bioshock, and even Halo 3 (yes Halo 3 will look better no matter what any fanboy says, the size of the maps are huge and the visual aspects will have high texture and high poly.  It may not be realistic like Gears of War but the overall light, particle effects, textures, Poly count will most likely all be way higher with larger maps.) 

Gears did indeed use 100% of the Xbox 360's power, and guess what?  So does every other game, even the port of Gun.  What sets games apart is how they use that power and be more resourceful when programing and doing the visuals.  In 3 years Gears will look like nothing compaired to games out then.  Same with all consoles, we will see a large jump in a few years.

a couple of months back when a couple of guys at 1up got to see like  30 seconds of halo 3 single player say it blows gears away so im going buy that.

Mass Effect will look better than Gears, so will BioShock & UT3. BioShock will be the first to dethrown GeOW since it releases before M.E. & Unreal. As far as PS3, I have to say Heavenly Sword will look better than GeOW. Its not really the graphics in HS that is the most impressive, its the AI that really make its visuals pop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kameo, Viva Pinata, Fable 2, Splinter Cell 5, Assaisns Creed, Lost Odyssey, Mass Effect ,Blue Dragon, Elveon, Oblivion, etc, all those are more to my liking than anything Gears shows, especially Fable 2 destroys that game, and does Crysis quality effects

EDIT: I forgit Bioshock of course, then Cry On, Infinite Undiscovery should look stunning too

i say ghost recon advanced warfighter 2,maybe its not as good looking but its has amazing graphicsmlbslugger86

You clearly have not seen the Peter speach video, in fact looks far better than Crysis, better defined shadows, less 2D foliage, light beams, amazing lighting/HDR etc
