PS3 is the closest of the consoles to being a PC.

The Wii is the console that acts like a console and has the best bet. How about sell 13 million in its first year? How about transfering user preferences in an easy to carry, easy to save, easy to transfer package?

other then that, this thread is pointless no one can be dumb enough to assume that a console has more then a PC other then play exclusive games thats not avaliable for pc, the pc can do anything a console do and more, but i cant play those games if anyone accuatly thinks that consoles have any function that does not exist on pc's... well what else can i say.

yup, everygames with open VoIP have issues with people with badmanners, thats not exclusive to halo, thats why i dont like playng on pub games, or at least play on servers with a better crowd, and as a last resort you can always mute those annoyng bastards

No it doesnt, it makes perfect sense, all systems plays games, this is about what FEATURES that the consoles can do that the PC cannot, by twisting it like this I'm assuming you cant come up with anything really? But thats to be expected since well a Computer is an open source where most technology is designed from anyway.

Its better than hitting a brick wall with no advancement, the 8800's can play everything the 360/PS3 can at maximum so the "upgrading" is optional for games ahead of thier time.

5. Depends on your system. I wouldn't say laptop is a lot. But it is hard to move a desktop system

4. Since when? And you shouldn't even go to the HD part, when PC can go higher than 1080p and has been able to do HD for years.

3. Why couldn't we? PC has all the multimedia capabilities of consoles and more. You can even have both HD-DVD and Bluray.

2. You have to buy a new console every generation. Better graphics require better hardware. You don't need to upgrade if you don't need those new graphics. Just like with consoles. Yes, graphics get slightly better but just slightly compared to PC's.

2.)Play a retail game instantly,no install required.
3.)Go years without getting a single error of any kind.
4.)Completely virus proof.

In theory computers can do anything they are programed to do. In reality though they really lack good offline multiplayer.

I have my PS3 networked to my DVR unit. Acessing it with my PSP I can watch my recorded TV shows anywhere I can get wifi. I can also view my pictures and listen to my music all on my handheld. That is something you can't do on PC.
