no campaign. Its a campaign short of a perfect game imo. The skirmish games can take hours upon hours to play though. I played a small map and it took 9 hours to win.

Yeah it's a great game and gets too little attention even when the discussion only includes strategy games. But like you said it both scored well and sold well so I'm not sure if it could really be called underrated.
Last Gen: Magic the Gathering: Battlegrounds, Blood Omen 2, LoK: Defiance, Enclave, The Suffering and Shadow of Destiny(although that was not that underrated)
The Legend of Heroes: A Tear of Vermillion for PSP. If people could put the engrish aside and actually pay attention to the story, they'd see that it's really an amazing game.
Uncharted, everyone talks about the graphics but the game itself is really amazing and rarely gets talked about.

I really like Uncharted. The story was easy to follow, it made sense, it didn't prolong things too long. The enemies were a little hard and the game was jaggy at times, but still a must have for this gen.

Quite easily one of the best games on the PS3.
I loved every bit of Uncharted Except the Jetski part and the ending. Other than that, it's my favorite PS3 aside from MGS 4.
Ummm jak and daxter was far from underrated.....it's was actually considered to be one greatest new age platformers created....Assassin's Creed isn't Underrated either it got better reviews then it deserved IMO they gave it a 9.0 on Gamespot and other sites gave it great reviews but I found it average at best.
For me I would say Mario Kart 64, Geist, Bloodrayne 2, and Kirby 64.

Mario Kart 64 underrated? Seriously I think that is still considered one of the funniest racing games/series of all time.
Underrated to the max this gen imho: Too Human...its an incredibly fun game Kevin V. :?...I hope no one took his review seriously...now to go back to Too Human :D, I'm probably gonna be playing this game for a long time to come.

LAIR! I dont understand what the problems with the six axis control for others. It works perfectly natural for me, maybe because I had like 300 hours in the warhawk.

even though it is old i though quake 4 for the 360 was better than the reviews scores.i actually liked that game even though alot of people thought it sucked
I'd say MotorStorm for this Generation. It was one of the best games for me and definitely beats Dirt and every other off road games I have played. Can't wait for the sequel.
Overlord, The Darkness, Bully, Republic Commando, STALKER, Stronghold (Crusader and 2) GRAW 2, Mercenaries (and it looks like Mercs 2 will also be underrated)
