I hate Naruto anime and love Dragonball Z way more, but after watching the On The Spot demo, this game looks alot of fun. The humor is great, the art style is nice and graphics are very well done, the gameplay is sort of open world and a dash of fighing in there so it keeps the game nice and fresh, it has original voice acting so thats a plus as well. This game has potential and I'm actually looking forward to this game. At first I was laughing at Microsoft for hyping this at E3 2007, but it has potential to break some ground for it worldwide. Adding this baby to my GameQ ASAP, What do you guys think?Elektrik-Blu
This would be big for Microsoft... Adult parents that are gamers(There are a lot of them)would have a system that has titles that cater to them and also their children... If Microsoft wants to succeed in the video game market they are gonna have to cater to both.......
It definately could move some consoles in Japan, but it won't be great. The fighting looks pretty mediocre, and that's really the staple of the game. Don't get your hopes up too high.agentfredI thought it would move consoles in Japan too until i saw that the ps3 was getting their own unique naruto game similar to this one, im sure the japanese will buy that one instead

Isn't most of the game centered around the fights? I could be wrong, thats just what I thought.

No it's not, watch the on the spot demo, it's just an open world game. The fighting is not like the one from PS2 games

Right, but doesn't the open-world gameplay lead up to the fighting?

No, it leads up to alot of things. It's like a GTA version of Naruto, but obviously different in al ot of ways. The fighting is, I don't want to say tacked-on, but it's just there.

Okay, then it definitely has a chance of being good.
Good humor...what...? Naruto humor is a mix between unimaginative slapstick, and generic perverted humor. It NEVER strays, and what, this game covers 80 episodes of the Anime? It's a 2 trick pony, and I can't imagine it being remotely funny beyond 2 hours of gameplay.
Mind you, I don't think it'll hurt the 360 or anything. Naruto is pretty big, and it could be a solid game. If it is, I'm sure it will sell ok. The problem with the license and sticking right with the story is that Naruto will fail in at least 3 categories before it even hits reviewer's hands: repetitive story, repetitive humor, repetitive and shamelessly corny characters.
I think it will be a sleeper, a lot of people don't like Naruto but a lot of people do, those who don't like it are the majority here on Gamespot (or at least System Wars or Xbox 360 forum). But I really think it will be a great game. Thats why I think it will be a sleeper (at least on a review standpoint)
[QUOTE="Memnock"]Gametrailers seemed to like it alot in their preview. I wonder if this game ends up being an AAA title, if it will do anything to move Xboxes in Japan. murat8It wont move 360's in Japan their about 130+ episodes in front of this game Now...if they were to make on based on Shippuuden...that would be awesome.
