Okay, UNS wasn't a bad game (I have the early trilogy on Switch). But after it's brand brother in Jump made this...

(seriously DBFZ is up there with the plethora of licensed games that are legit good, up there with the various Star Wars games like Rogue Squadron and KOTOR, James Bond games with GoldenEye and Everything or Nothing, Ghostbusters, John Woo's Stranglehold, LEGO with Skywalker Saga being the best, Batman: Arkham 1 and 2, Spider-Man, and several others)

...you would think Namco would take more notes after, especially given Dragon Ball has taken a back seat with fighting games after that. Nope... they had to bring back a part of the Naruto license where they just stopped caring by game 4 after swallowing competition.

Said competition, one from Tomy and Eighting (Bloody Roar, Tatsunoko vs Capcom), the other from Ubisoft (and never saw the light of day in Japan).

When even Disney is broadening their partnerships with Star Wars...

Hi,

This game looks very bad, but not as bad as that Crackdown 4 game.

I not a fan of naruto media I used to love them but the story just went nonsense with all the power ups and sudden family ties and whatever else bullshit.

I mean DBZ power up is bullshit too but I still enjoy them cause Goku and all the characters basically embraced they all like to fight and gets stronger.

Naruto series ended up contradicting itself with its message it had in the beginning of the series being that hard work will always beat natural talent, only to later find out that all the characters worth a damn in the end game come from elite bloodlines with Naruto himself being a reincarnation of ninja Jesus. It is honestly why I don't find anime to be that inspiring anymore. I honestly hate when Shonen mangas and animes try to portray their MCs as some disadvantaged underdogs only for them to turn out to be the luckiest person in their universe but still trying to sell you that they're just a humble average joe like you and if you work hard enough you can be the greatest like them.

I've never played any of them and don't care. Didn't even know Naruto was still popular. Never been a fan personally. I remember watching the show many years ago and they were on a bridge having a battle where nothing happened. For 4 episodes. Naruto has been banned from my life ever since.

Would they make a Naruto fighting game like DBFZ, I'd check it out. DBFZ is pretty awesome.

I like Naruto: Rise of a Ninja on 360. Basically it lets you play through the series in a cool action-adventure game.

Are there any more games like this, I wonder?

I'm not really that interested in the fighting games from naruto.

I enjoyed the storm games back on the day just as a simple brawler, not so much a tight fighter. I think it has alot to do with Japanese game development and how they don't like to take risks and stick to exsisting systems that are already in play and have worked in the past.

That new demon slayer game has almost the same battle system as ninja storm, and that Jump force game (that abomination of a game) has nearly the same battle system. It's just the same framework with different skins. Fighter Z was great, but in this instance I think they're just going with an exsisting series that sold the most for the easiest profit.

@nintendoboy16: Meh. Let me know when they'll make a Black Clover game using Naruto fighting style cause Naruto games got stale, I haven't played those Ultimate Ninjas since Ultimate Ninjas Storm 2.

The old ultimate Ninja series on PS2 features pretty good rpg adventure mode.

Exactly! I used to love Naruto cause the original story message was really inspiring everyone can succeed if they work hard enough. I used to love how the talentless naruto still try to compete against the geniuses of his world to prove his worth....

Then the whole shippuden happened and we get revelation after revelations of how uber talented naruto is and he from really OP family with special genes and also reincarnation of some bullshit. I was like wtf is this shit this is awful. Turns out working hard is just not enough you gotta be born special and have special privileges to train with the best.

Oh well I skip this title obviously. Still dont mind playing it if free as the series tends to have very easy platinum trophies.

3 ? or 4 was actually kind of good ... lots of fanservice, decent single player with tons of cut scenes and yeah, gameplay was ok ... but they get old pretty fast, the broken characters are soooo broken and at this point, honestly i don't know what else can they put, this franchise already peaked a few entries ago, another one is pointless now ... just like Boruto itself.
