ppl wiht no common sense = fail :). its pretty obvious that the dual shock 3 is just a filler. if you really think sony isnt working up a design to bundle with the wand, then i can sell you some common sense .spike6566
They couldn't come up with one thus far? Really? As I said, Wand + Dualshock = fail.

This is why you use two wands. And Sony is smart enough to put on a d-pad, symbol buttons, and an analog stick.

When will people get that there is no analogue stick?
While that was a bad demo I don't think the Wand is a bad thing...But the fact that you need the Wand+ the PS eye seem like a scretch to get people on this thing.I think sony needs to scrap the wand and come up with something fresh. Using a ball-on-the-stick + a DS3 is fail and when you make a nunchuck copycat it's even more fail. Originality is key.

c'mon though. PSX controller is an SNES controller with wings, analog stick and rumble added after the N64 comes out, six-axis added after Wii remote is revealed, and now the Sony wand.
Sony is just keeping with tradition of taking from Nintendo.

As much as I love Nintendo you are forgetting one thing. At least Sony is trying go cater to it's hardcore fans while Nintendo is cashing in on the casuals.
I kind of like Sony's wand. It seems far more useful for more genres than Natal, but this specific demo was an incredibly stupid idea.

Casuals meaning everyone...
Should say "The Wand is dead before it hit's shelves". Next you'll need the Magic Hat peripheral for head tracking. Then Sony can buy out the Harry Potter license and make a magician exclusive. This seems pretty impractical with all the peripherals you have to use and not very innovative since Nintendo does about the same with the Wii peripherals for motion. Plus the odd design, most people would question if you got it from an adult store rather a videogame store.
Wand + Dualshock 3= stupid.
ActicEdge
I agree, but i'm pretty sure he's showing that all you need is 1 wand. Don't quote me on this, but I'm 90% sure you would be able to use 2 wands and if I'm wrong I have to question wtf is capcom or sony thinking lol

PSeye can do everything natal can. It's all a mater of software updates. PSeye has been doing 3d tracking and people tracking for the longest or at least has had the tech for it. The wand just makes it work 120% better as you can see. PSeye = 1:1 ration while natal isn't.

You think Nintendo didn't patent the use of a Wand like controller with some sort of Single analog attachment?
Not impressed in the slightest. And lmao @ TC getting excited at this weaksauce-ass demo and even more lulz @ everybody clowning him and forcing him to leave his own thread. Sometimes SW makes my heart melt:D
RE5 with wand?
Yeah, I'm not a fairy. I'll pass.
Thanks anyways! Seriously, tacked-on wand movements for RE5? How about something original and nice for these controls, eh?

That is not true. What can natal do that the pseye cannot? If I'm wrong I'm wrong. I'll admit it, but I read a magazine around the time the pseye launched and 1 of the developers were being interviewed about the camera and he claimed it can do everything natal can and this was like 2 years ago way before Natal. I wish I can post a scan, but ti was so long ago i no longer have it, but if you look at the current tech it can obviously track movement of people, definitely has facial recognition and it can track in a 3dfield. honestly I think the glowing ball is only so it can have 1:1. Natal seems cool and all, but having lag in motion controls completely destroys the purpose. I've noticed this with my wii and I hate it.
Also I don't mean to sound like an ass, but can you add more to an argument compared to "That's not true"
