MS hypes it to no end, screaming its something new, market it to death (bing-a-thon :| ). Then when you finally use it, its as dull and unpromising with a lackluster appeal.

Why would they market it to death now with no release date or price tag lol
So far I've seen it on one show. They've said on Kotaku that there going to treat this as a console launch, including having a games line up at launch. So expect the hype to kick in when they announce a launch date.
This is going to be a big fanboy war. Anyways playsationlifestyle have done a little bit on it http://playstationlifestyle.net/2009/06/11/natal-likes-devo-lacks-ps3mote-accuracy/ I reckon they make some decent points, it is quite slow to respond and needs some serious work. It, like the eye toy did, flips when a second person enters the screen and features seemed to be missing in the burnout demo such as the boost and there was a lack of control of the throttle. Bottom line Natal has a long way to go.hoosier7I'm impressed that they got Burnout to work at all.
You have a strange idea of love :PWow. So we are comparing motion control devices to search engines now?
My love for system wars grows stronger every day.

I'm impressed that they got Burnout to work at all. Yeh, i've just thought of something Sony was show casing a bit ago, they played motorstorm in 3D, supposedly you'd only need a firmware download and game update for it. That's what Sony should push in response.[QUOTE="hoosier7"]This is going to be a big fanboy war. I'm impressed that they got Burnout to work at all. Not that impressive if you know what gesture-sensing has come before Natal. Its isn't that big of a leap. I don't think anyone should be surprised to see that it can function. Its how accurate it is that will be the big wow factor if they ever figure it out. If they don't, it will be gimmicky use in games. Speaking only of the motion tech part of Natal.[QUOTE="hoosier7"]This is going to be a big fanboy war. The thing is though, if you don't crack the motion tech and sensing of the player, then it can't be effective, this is the part MS need to put the money into.
Say what you will about natal, but the guys on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon seemed to love it.clubsammich91Not a good record you've got there clubsammich, i sniff a fanboy

I seriously doubt that natal will launch with the 360. I could see it launch with the next xbox though. I think MS showcased it now to try and change the perception of the 360 showing its age. Yes it is aging fast, and the PS3 will continue to pull ahead (games, graphics, etc.) until the end of this gen.

Got a mirror? THEY DID seem to enjoy it. And the crowd was really reacting to it. Those are facts. Seen on video. Can't dispute that.

It wasn't really an intended dig at that comment but at the very fanboyish comments i've seen from him before.

I agree with this.
They're putting a lot of eggs in the Natal basket, and I think launching it as a high end peripheral so late in the console's life would yield bad results.Although it won't necessarily be death if it does release with some 360 games. But I'm 100% sure it will come standard with the next gen XBOX.
wow you sure moan alot, for someone with a 360 and a gamertag you sure don't act like it, though i do love the fact that you make out that no one else does it besides microsoft. Every company does what your asking...its called...MARKETING they aren't hyping squat its the users hyping it microsoft is simply showing what they are doing and what its capable of.MS hypes it to no end, screaming its something new, market it to death (bing-a-thon :| ).
