Uncharted 1 was a AA caliber title, and realistically so was Uncharted 3.

Naughty Dog couldn't make a franchise that didn't get stale after as little as 3 games.

Anyway ND created the original Crash bandicoot franchise with 3 sequels (the best of the series and then the rights were sold and it went downhil with new dev). Then they made Jak and Daxter 3 games and a racing game... then they left the reins to someone else and created uncharted. which the first was only AA on this site, other places gave it AAA and it deserved it. On this site it was like that due to the fact of it being 2007, and unless you were the holy grail of games (MGS4) you were going to get bashed if on the PS3 .... lemmings ruled both in forums and reviewers back then due to the PS3 price (as messed up as that was the 360 fanboys made it worse). UC2 and 3 both scored AAA here and won 100s of game of the year awards....

I have no problem with a slightly looser rule set, but idiots should just be IP banned immediately so they can't get an alt account whenever they get an RROD and have nothing better to do.

ND is a quality devoloper and I have faith that it will be a awesome game. MS hasn't announced anything good for 2012 other than Halo 4 which I NOT excited about at all. It's just another lame excuse for them to milk Halo for all it's worth. Ps3 owns in exclusives deal with it 360 fanboys. TheBlizz87

yet historically they have made some of the best games to ever grace consoles.

Crash 1 is hands down one of the best platformers ever and tbh still is.

Naughty Dog makes some really good games, I don't think they deserve the god-like status some try and shove down your throat around here, as there are many things about their games that are flawed, but yeah, i'm hyped for this new game... My wife asked me if im getting sick of zombies, and to be honest, I find them to be just a means to an end... when I watched the trailer I got more excited to see if the game would have a Bioshock Infinite type of relationship between the main characters.

Crash 1,2,3 and CTR could be considered near enough God tier games and influnced many a 3d platformer that follwoed in its wake, Jak 1 was pretty amazing for its time and widely hailed as one of the best platformers last decade aswell.

I know the tc is just trolling, but he's not far off the mark to be honest. People wont admit it here of course, but Naughty Dog is a VERY over-rated developer. I'm not hating btw because I enjoyed the Uncharted series and the Crash games.

I totally agree with you. I really enjoy ND's work, and have for years. Since back when I first played Crash Bandicoot. However they are far from perfect as Uncharted 3 proved.

I'm excited about the trailer also, and look forward to seeing how this game unfolds. I'm just not ready to over hype it or lay praise on it without knowing anything about it. Like some people on here already have done, just because it's a ND game.

WHile I never try and predict the future with regard to game scores (since I don't care at all about scores), I will say that before Uncharted 2 came out people kept saying, "Naughty Dog only makes AA games! Uncharted 1 was AA so Uncharted 2 will flop!" My point is that it is tought to predict future success or "hit" games.

I also want to point out that games like Jak and Daxter, while "only" AA were still unbelievably great titles. There is a reason those games were so popular and why people STILL want to see a new version come out (or even an HD rerelease).

People always seem to want to crap on AA titles, but in my 3 decades of gaming experience, I can honestly say the games I often loved the most and can still play long after the gen is over most often tend to be AA titles.

Put it this way. All their older games are teen games. The Last of Us will be rated M which gives them a lot more freedom to let loose with stuff. It will have more emotional sting and none of the crap witty dialogue of the uncharted games. The characters already seem worn out and dishevelled and tired. They just want food and a place to stay. There will be huge emotional value to this game I think and you will feel really connected to the characters. So it will have a good shot at being a teriffic game

Techland aren't ND. Usually when Naughty Dog shows a trailer the final product resembles what we saw. Techland shot themselves in both feet with the Dead Island trailer. And we bought it cos we didn't know much about their games
