PS3 did everything wrong when it came out, was the worst system to own. Plus the PS3 has been (and still is) playing catch-up and basically taking features here and there from the Wii/360. Took some time to become what it is now but now it's a formidable console at a great price with great games, basically it's what it should have been 3 years ago and this is why it's in third place: it did everything too late.

Buying the 250gb Slim now would probably be worth it, before it was just... not. And now good exclusives are finally being released, you'd actually be able to buy 10 or so decent PS3 games. Dumb dumb Sony and their worthless marketing team.

Almost every feature I perfer on the 360. Friends list, achievements, the guide button,music, dashboard, etc. What I do like more on PS3 is high def and God Of War...ah yeah.

Just to make sure we're on the same page, when I said overall sales, I meant sales for the entire genration. Last time I heard, PS3 was behind by about 5 million.
Well Sony made a lot of silly mistakes when they started this gen, course now they have fully changed. Being last has made them much better, more humble and they really upped the exclusive count thanks largely to their inhouse studios. What's interesting is that despite releasing a year after the 360 the sales gap is still the same, still 6-7 million like it was in 2007. Now when you look at the PS2 year on year the gap between it and the Xbox increased but MS is having hard time increasing the gap between the 360 and PS3. All eyes on 2010, it's gonna be interesting.

High launch price and lack of significant games in it's early years are reasons why. Sony's E3 06 press conference alone dug themselves into a huge hole. It wasn't until MGS4 that the PS3 started getting good (Which is the same time period i bought my PS3).
so i can own every wii bashing thread with zelda TP, metroid prime 3, mario galaxy / pwned. or every 360 bashing thread with gears, halo 3, gta iv dlc/ pwned...?
