im not seeing it, all these games, all these free features, im not seeing this im not seeing this at all.Jone_ZPS3 did everything wrong when it came out, was the worst system to own. Plus the PS3 has been (and still is) playing catch-up and basically taking features here and there from the Wii/360. Took some time to become what it is now but now it's a formidable console at a great price with great games, basically it's what it should have been 3 years ago and this is why it's in third place: it did everything too late.
last place in what? with xbox rrod problem and hd losing money plus ps2 psp still strong and ps3 selling better than ever before its not in last place in anything.
it cost several kidneys at launch, that and the media hated it with a passion, damn you should have been asround in 06/07 it was brutal times for the ps3, kinda suprised its still around. people weredissing on youtube, sw, all over the net...even my local gamestation shop staff were taking the piss
The mass-market has decided that teh PS3 just isn't value for money.Pretty simple.
The miserble sales of the machine are proof.
actually a slight edit needed here. It appeals to blu ray player purchasers not game players was the problem. Its in last because the group the ps3 appeals to has least amount of people. The ps3 appeals to the super hardcore, the wii appeals to the casuals, and the 360 appeals to the one in the middle.

The most people that buy the ps3 are super hardcore players, finding a casual with a ps3 is like finding a good soccer player in Iowa :lol:Its in last because the group the ps3 appeals to has least amount of people. Last place in what? Sales? Library? Features? Need more detail please.
As has already been said, the high launch price has up until now limited PS3 sales. The launch library didn't help matters.
That's really odd. Isn't it behind the 360 by the same number since launch? So it's sold at the same rate as 360...Miserable sales? Hmmm....Do you work for MS? 'Cause that spin is making me dizzy. The mass-market has decided that teh PS3 just isn't value for money.Pretty simple.

That sig is irrelevant today, though I admit it was the reason the PS3 is having a hard time catching with the 360.It's last place in sales! Why? *points at my sig*
Platforma
Buying the 250gb Slim now would probably be worth it, before it was just... not. And now good exclusives are finally being released, you'd actually be able to buy 10 or so decent PS3 games. Dumb dumb Sony and their worthless marketing team.

maybe you should go to vg chartz before u postAlmost every feature I perfer on the 360. Friends list, achievements, the guide button, music, dashboard, etc. What I do like more on PS3 is high def and God Of War...ah yeah.

maybe you should go to vg chartz before u postJust to make sure we're on the same page, when I said overall sales, I meant sales for the entire genration. Last time I heard, PS3 was behind by about 5 million.

So should you  add up psp ps2 ps3 current selling systems it tops the 360 Might as well add windows xp, vista, and 7 to the x360's sales then, being we're adding unrelated stuff. MS wins...[QUOTE="Nidget"][QUOTE="oblivionboar"] maybe you should go to vg chartz before u postoblivionboar

Oh no you didn't just bring in "The Sony family" did you?
thats just a misinformed statement because the PS3 has actually outsold the 360 every year since its launch ..... thats a fact. The mass-market has decided that teh PS3 just isn't value for money.Pretty simple.

MS 35th place on the fortune 500 list: http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune500/2009/snapshots/3063.html[QUOTE="stygiansanity"] Might as well add windows xp, vista, and 7 to the x360's sales then, being we're adding unrelated stuff. Sony, however isn't even on the list...They aren't even on the top 1,000. (Here's the entire list, just in case I might be wrong, but I don't think I am) http://money.cnn.com/magazines/fortune/fortune500/2009/full_list/index.html
So overall, I'd still say that MS wins.
High launch price and lack of significant games in it's early years are reasons why. Sony's E3 06 press conference alone dug themselves into a huge hole. It wasn't until MGS4 that the PS3 started getting good (Which is the same time period i bought my PS3).
