I do mostly play COD the games look good on 360, just the same as ps3 really. I love playing online but most of my friends dont play on consoles so just play with other people online.Xbox live is much better than PSN but do you like the games on the 360? Do you just mosly play CoD? What system do your friends have?

How are you playing COD on your Xbox when you said you sold it and took a break from gaming and got the PS3?

I'm playing COD on my ps3 mate, i ment to say the games on the 360 look good.If you already have one system, you shouldn't get rid of the other. I love my PS3 and it's the only current gen console I have, but I'd get a 360 too if I could afford it or someone gave me one. Only get a rid of a console if you are 100% sure that you will NEVER play it again.
Until you can say that, I say keep it.
pros for xbox 360:
best online
best multiplats
cheaper
cons:
pay for online
RROD
in terms of games, only Halo and GeOW and forza M3 are the exclusives that put 360>ps3
ok, these aren't ALL the pros and cons. BUT this is how you should figure out which console you want. personnally i say get the 360, but its up to you!:)
oh, and you have only been playing COD on your ps3? you are missing out on alot of games....
Meh i thinks RROD is kind of fixed since i rarelly see ppl saying they're 2009 xbox had RROD, and mine halo edition had it since launch haven't got it either.. don't get me wrong i'm also saving for buying a ps3 slim since i wanna play gow and FF Versus 13 :)pros for xbox 360:

you missed the part of saying "YO YO YO YO YO YO YO YO YO YO YO YO" nonstopWant to get rid of your PS3? Anger a small Asain girl by not having a job. She'll take care of it.

If you're into shooters, I can see why you might want to drop the PS3 and go back to the 360.
Looking at that particular genre the 360 takes it because it has great exclusives in that area, the 360 controller is easier to work with, and Live is a lot more solid than PSN just about every day of the week.
If you're into more than that, though, you'll have to take a harder look and decide for yourself. Both have a lot of strengths and weaknesses that you need to look over.
Almost every gamer that sells their system regrets it unless they get really good cash for it (ie enough to buy said system back).
Anyway if you're not playing your ps3 much I doubt it'll change w/ owning a 360. Sure the 360 is better, but it's not a huge difference. Honestly the consoles are fairly close, but the 360 wins out w/ little things. Like better frame rate on a handful of multiplats, having netflix first, 1vs100, avatars, better controller or having a few extra people w/ mics online. Really nothing the 360 has really makes it an obviously better choice over the ps3, and definitely not enough to sell your ps3 to buy a 360 at a loss.

I used to own a 360 for 8 months. It RRoD'd and got a failed HDD. I have been with PS3 since launch and I don't even have the slightest desire for a 360 again.
You have to decide for yourself.
I know you have heard it tonnes of times but i cant find one honest answer out there, they are all biased towards one console. Now i forgot i even had this account, i used to own a 360 when they first got released, it RROD so i sold it. Gave in gaming for a couple of years then last year i got a PS3. I dont find my self on it a lot of the time, maybe a couple of times a week mostly on Call of duty. I dont use hardly any of the PS3's media services. I listen to music and browse the internet on my computer not on a games console. I have been looking at buying a 360 again because i hear it is a better gaming console and online is much better even though you have to pay for it. SO honest opinions should i go back to the 360, i would be getting the elite edition. Thanks for any explanations given Zack Cxbox111You should just keep it, try Resistance 1 & 2 and killzone 2, if you like shooters there exclusive to PS3, you probably already know that. And if they don't do anything for you then get a 360. Games I'd recommend for 360 Gears of War 1 & 2 Halo 3 & Halo ODST Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 play with friends online awesome
pros for xbox 360:

Not really enough of a difference for most people to see
cheaper
Only if you get an Arcade, which lacks a HDD.
cons:
pay for online
RROD
Not really that much of an issue at this point.

There are more games, but if this guy only likes shooters you're probably right.

Just wanted to address a couple things in this list.
Personally I'd reccomend trying a few other games on your PS3, then if you don't like any other games give some thought to getting a 360. When you think about 360 look at all the games and see if it would be worth transferring consoles.
Don't get rid of it! my ps3 is on constantly now... granted i switched over from analog smoking to eletronic cigs and the ps3 has to be on in order for the usb ports to work so i can charge up my batteries but still i at least found something useful for it to do.
seriously tho keep it and just add the 360 so you can play anything you want and buy whichever has the best version of multiplats
doesnt sound like youve done much research..
the online is comparable. the 360 has a slight edge, but nothing that makes it vastly superior.
look into the exclusives for both of them. if COD is all you play, youre probably better of with a 360
To be honest with you i couldn't give two hoots. Everybody else thanks for the replies if i can get my hands on a 360 i think i might keep my PS3 for the time being ans see how they compare. I mean i do play on a few other games but by far i prefer FPS games not into the sports games and as i said i have a pc to browse the internet and watch films so i dont take much advantage of them features on the ps3.I don't buy this guy's story one bit

I'm on my 3rd 360,I also have a PS3 i game on anything and everything What has a good feel on one console may not have the same feel on another thats just how i see it.Depends on your choice of games really.
To me honestly the online isn't much better.
I personally would hate this gen if I only had a 360.

I don't understand any of that.
PROS
1) How does it have the "best" online? It's the same thing. You connect to the Internet, play games with people you don't know, the end.
2) How can any multiplat be better than another? Other than extremely rare cases (such as games like SoulCalibur having different characters on each system) multiplatformers are usually the exact same game.
3) I particularly love this debate that is brought up because unlike the others it is completely factual and there is no opinion at all. BOTH SYSTEMS ARE 299.99. They are the same price! Plus, if you factor in that you must pay $100 dollars for an Xbox WiFi Adapter to get online, then another $50 dollars for Xbox Live...that makes buying a 360 and playing online $449.99...
CONS
1) Paying for online kind of negates the whole "Xbox is cheaper thing", unless you don't plan on playing online...so yeah this con makes sense but it also makes the #3 pro incorrect as stated above.
2) My Xbox has never RROD'd, but plenty of people have to no argument there.
Just to clarify: I only have an Xbox, so I'm not biased towards PS3 in any way.
Sorry for the double post, but I want to clarify my previous post a bit more:
The two Xbox models currently on the market are the Elite and the Arcade. As for Playstation, we have the 120GB and 250GB Slim Editions.
The Arcade is only $200 dollars. Factor in at least a $50 dollar HD (it doesn't come with one and that is the cheapest) as well as a $100 dollar WiFi Adapter and a $50 dollar Xbox Live Card and you are up to $350. This is already more than the cheapest PS3, which is $300. As for the Elite, it is already even with the 120GB Slim. Adding in Live and the Adapter make it $450. It is now more expensive than the 120GB, and is even with the 250GB. Even getting a used/refurbished model won't do you any good: The cheapest one is $140, and doesn't come with an HD. So, add in the Live, HD and Adapter and you find yourself back up to $330. So, the only way an Xbox could possibly be considered cheaper than a PS3 is if you compare a refurbished Xbox and the 250GB Slim, making your total cost about 20 bucks cheaper. Not really worth it considering you are getting a used and outdated system for only dollars less than the highest end PS3 model. Not to mention comparing the maximum model of one company with the minimum of another isn't really a fair debate.
So, unless you plan to play offline, Xbox is more expensive in any combination.
Thanks for that, it wasnt really about money i would have got the elite with live i would used a wired connection. But you get some people saying keep the PS3 and some saying get the 360 for first person shooters. What makes me think is that nearly everybody says miltiplats look better on the 360.Sorry for the double post, but I want to clarify my previous post a bit more:

Well my post was directed to gamerdude who was using price as a major factor so to him it was about the money. As for the other stuff, if you have a wired connection thats fine, but some people will have to use wireless depending on their setup. Even with wired the Elite would still be $350.
As for the other stuff: What do you mean get a 360 for the FPS games? PS3 has plenty of FPS games, many of which are on Xbox as well. You got CoD, Battlefield, soon to be MAG...It's not like the Xbox is leaps and bounds ahead of PS3 in the shooter department. They basically just have Halo, which isn't really that amazing. It is pretty much a love it or hate it series, and if you don't like it then the Xbox doesn't really have anything over the PS3 as far as FPS games go.

I should probably actually address the TC since he asked a question...
My opinion on the console scene is as follows: When the systems first started coming out Xbox was in the lead. It had better exclusives and the online community was bigger. As time has gone on the PS3 hasacquiredmany good games, and many of those Xbox exclusives have become multiplats, moving over to PS3 as well. I believe the two consoles are at somewhat of a stalemate at the moment, with the only real factor being all the extra things (such as multiple online requirements) that you must pay for with Xbox.
Judging by the changes taking place, I would venture to guess that the 360 will be dying out within the next year or so. I would expect a new Xbox console possibly with the release of Natal, or sometime afterwards. PS3 on the other hand will likely last for a couple more years, maybe even being able to compete with the new Xbox console for a short time. Now I can't say for sure but I believe that the 360 has reached the end of it's technical abilities, meanwhile the PS3 still has room for improvement. What I mean is, the 360 won't be able to handle games any more complex than the ones they have now, but the PS3 could potentially support more advanced games. If this is true then the PS3 could easily last into the next gen. As for multiplats looking better on 360: I personally think this is simply fans of their particular system talking. I've never noticed a difference.
