Need help on buying a System.

I have decided to buy a console.I already own a gaming PC.I am buying a console for fighting and hack n slash type of games.So which will be a better choice.

I am not interested in any FPS games on console including halo

I wont pay for xlive

Not interested in any sports or car racing games.

Console should have Good amount of RPGS which are not on PC.

Also do i need to buy a seperate controller or do consoles comes with 2 controller.

then you should get the ps3 because it has good amount of rpgs. i personally have pc , ps3 and xbox 360 so i think i know what i'm talking about.

FF13 is not better on the PS3, it's actually bricking the consoles. That being said, I'd probably go with the PS3.

Sounds like PS3 will be the better choice. You could also go with a Wii.

No1 has mentioned fighting and hack n slash games exclusives on both system.

if you want hack n slash and fighting games I'd really say DMC4 and SF4 on PC are great and you really won't find anything really much over them if even equal to them. This stuff is really best on 360 but there is more on ps3 especially if you don't want live...consoles just start feeling too meh to me.

well the best fighting game is on 360 (DOA4). But since you arent willing to pay for live, PS3 is the obvious choice.

I think he does. And he's right. DOA4 is 360 exclusive.

OK Well all the games that are on the 360 in those genres are on ps3 with a lesser online community but if you aren't looking for the online aspect of these games ps3 would be fine. Bayonetta is great but the PS3 version(from my experience) still is not totally fixed and the 360 version is great, but games like GoW3 make a difference. Many people prefer the dpad of the PS3 for fighting games but I've found them both about as equally useless and there are a number of good controllers for fighting games that are virtually the same. In the end IMO PS3 would be better because Bayonetta is great even on PS3 and you'll be able to play GoW3 as well, it is as simple and repetitive as the other games so if the series wasn't something you liked before then go with the 360 and probably an arcade model to save some money considering your stance on xbl.
