Ok, I'm sorry, but NETFLIX on the 360 has saved me SOOOO much $.

I have like 8 seasons (which I was about to buy for $40 per season) all with my mail in cost, and in HD

I got to say after watching soo many awesome movies, that NETFLIX instant owns every other service.

---o yeah, I get them in the mail too every other week.

Any others feel that other video services have become a little dull. I know I never buy movies off of XBL or PSN anymore.

If only they would release it to other countries, MS Australia talk about them wanting to bring it here but still nothing.

Personally, I'm all set for digital DLs and streams. Already have more than enough clutter with 300+ movies so any possibility of saving space is always a welcome note in my book.

Maybe you should make clear for all of the people who have not used netflix360 that it onlu streams the old movies no one cares about. The service does not have a 1080p stream and it is not impressive in the slightest. I will think Netlix360>all other service when it actually has first run movies in 1080p to watch till than Blu-ray>>>>>Netflix 360

Yeah, but you only buy hard copies of movies you actually want to own. Netflix is a movie rental service. You are not buying/downloading movies. You are just watching any movie you want at any time, its like a whenever-you-want-to-watch rental for the monthly fee.

Really? That's funny because my wife and I have streamed over 20 movies since the service started and we still have over 40 in our streaming Queue while having 11 by mail movies in the line up as well. Sure sounds as if you're trying to come off as some movie elite snob when you're actually showing just how poor your taste in movies truly is when you pass off older (and quite a few newer ones too) movies as not being worth it. The video quality is by far more impressive then I was anticipating and by calling it "not impressive in the slightest" simply proves how big an ignorant snob you've become. The quality is the same as a DVD being up-scaled and that's going to be beyond good enough for 99% of movie lovers. Do you really feel that special about having BR when we can get 10+ mailed movies and unlimited streamed movies in one month for 1/4 the cost of a brand new "NEW" movie on BR? sorry to say but that's just pissing away your money.

Yeah I know. But I don't really rent all that much, so the service is not for me. It's really a great concept though.

Again it is far from any movie you want to watch on the netflix360! The service gives you access to older movies and older tv series please stop trying to make it sound like a first run service it is not that in the slightest.

Your rant does nothing to change what netflix360 is and is not;) oh and I use Blockbuster online champ which is far superior to Netflix which I cancelled. I have also by the way never bought a Blu-Ray movie simply rented everything so wow you really look even more clueless now, I think maybe you should just give thinking a rest it's not working out for you.

8 at a time is also the highest subsrciption amount and it is $47.99 a month which is quite a bit more than 1/4 of the price of a blu-ray movie. you really have not helped the netfli360 argument brainiac!

$8.99 a month and we can easily get over 10 movies in one month. Maybe you should be the one giving up on the thinking for the night seeing how something as basic as that concept completely eluded you. BTW...you never mentioned in just renting BR movies so therefore my statement is still true. If you were to buy a BR movie of a new release, my monthly bill with Netflix is roughly 1/4 of that purchase.

8.99 is one movie at a time and 10 movies is not easily done through netflix a month one at a time I was already a customer of theirs. I understand it seems you don't do much but watch movies......You are incapable of making a point that would elude a 4th grader so please do not puff up your chest to much there internetz bully

Gaming_Guru_Guy

you get 1 movie mailed to your house, but you can still stream as many movies as you want. Getting 10 movies a month wouldn't be a hard task.

movies are sent over night and why would we hold onto it after watching it once? Well I have a Netflix subscription but not on the 360. Since I am not big on watching most of the newer movies out now. Renting is very low on my list. So my girl mostly uses the service. I own a lot of the older movies that I like. I am pretty retro centric when it comes to movies due the Netflix Live subscr have old movies such as black and white? I enjoy Spaghetti Westerns and Noir genres.

Haha, I doubt he does. Blu Ray is a product. It's a new format. It's no service. And Gaming Guru, don't ever call me simple again.

pro⋅mote
–verb (used with object), -mot⋅ed, -mot⋅ing.1.to help or encourage to exist or flourish; further:

just because they don't advocate anti-piracy means doesn't mean they advocate piracy...that's like saying just because someone isn't a republican, they are a democrat or vice versa.

Personally, I'm all set for digital DLs and streams. Already have more than enough clutter with 300+ movies so any possibility of saving space is always a welcome note in my book.

I guess I'm just old fashioned. Still have my 100+ VHS collection lying around.:P Never threw my music cassets away either.

I threw 300+ VHS-tapes away last year.

Just got tired of moving them from one attic to another everytime I moved. (Not having a VCR anymore made the descision a little easier)

I used to feel I would never want anything other than a hardcopy.

But I have to say, since I build my mediacenter and converted all my dvds I changed my mind.

It's much easier having a digital version of all my movies and favorite shows in one location ready to be played by the press of a button.

For games I still prefer the hardcopy though.

TC hate to break it to you but surfthechannel.com + sidereel.com > netflix. The sheer amount of content on those 2 sites combined is astounding, and its free! This is one case where internet browser really does help the PS3 :D

Can anyone in the US confirm whether the movie download aspect of PSN is online?

Yeah, it's great.

The only 'downside' can be getting/tweaking it just the way you want it if you use other skins that might not support all plugins yet. (But I love mucking about with software)

Maybe you should make it clear that your comment is just your opinion, and is not factual in any way. My wife, and I watch movies every day on Netflix. Plus, by your logic, if Netflix streamed only movies that no one cares about, there wouldn't be any subscribers. Guess what? Netflix has millions of subscribers. Digital distrobution is gaining more and more popularity. Netflix Instant Watch is still in it's infancy. Give it time, and it'll start getting newer movies, eventually. As far as BluRay movies go, I can watch an infinate amount of movies for 3 months for the price of one BluRay movie. Can I do that with BluRay?

Service that isn't USA only >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> USA only service.

Netflix isn't a good arguing point, the majority of x360 users can't even access it.

I will think Netlix360>all other service when it actually has first run movies in 1080p to watch till than Blu-ray>>>>>Netflix 360MortalDecay

If you have netflix and actually have a blu-ray player you should already know the answer to that...

Netflix and/or Blockbuster have unlimited rental pakages that include Blu-ray. Not all Blockbuster stores are created equal though. I happen to live by a good one.... I'm starting to get upset that there are more blu-ray renters now days though, I used to have the pick of the litter when it came to blu-rays :?

BB unlimited 1 game, 1 vid rental > netflix 360

It's a pretty lousy list. No new movies. Lots of old sutff we've seen countless times before. Only a few good TV shows available. Not to mention it doesn't even detect my HD settings all the time. Some episodes of 30 rock stream inHD some will stream in SD. That pisses me off all the time.

There are many new movies. 2007 and 2008 you can watch. They might not be all there the bigger name ones.... But at-least you can watch a small chunk of them.
