It looks and plays nothing like Gears 2... But you did get one thing right: IT LOOKS GOOD :).

That video actually put me off the game a bit as it reminded me of the first game were you could just keep on running and shooting rambo style without much having a chance to kill you. The first game was good but it wasn't very exciting and i hope this game doesn't turn out the same.

I will give this game a fair chance as you can't tell much from a 10 minute film and I will be playing the beta for it soon this month so I will get to see how the multiplayer is.

Resistance: FOM was known for having great enemy AI and being a challenging game. You must have played it on Easy mode :(.

I think it looks very fun. The entire style of the Resistance universe is coming into its own and looking great.

Ah, to each his own. But if I recall correctly Halo 3 didn't have amazing explosions either. The lighting for plasma grenades were outstanding though.

Exactly. That's why Insomniac made such creativ and useful weapons. For example: Being able to shoot an enemy while taking cover with the Bullseye.

The weapons give you a much needed advantage against the brutal enemies.

very few people who bash the first one actually played it. You can tell because they don't really have any legit complaints with the game. They'll say its generic (but never give specifics, since nothing about the game is generic), say the graphics are worse than Gears (really not that important) or call it boring (except the original had a deeper multiplayer than gears).

Meh, I think i'm done with FPSs honestly, or for some reason i'm just not engaged into this one, I think i prefer BF:BC or HL2 personally over this (destruction and half life just being self explanatory) but judging from the first one and seeing how this has improved, it's in the high 8s for me.MotoJ19

The first Resistance got an 8.6 on GS.. R2 will get 9 or higher on GS. GEARS2 will get a lower score than the first one. Watch it happen folks in early Nov...

My experience with Resistance FOM was that the huge battles were so hectic running and gunning was the sure fire way to get killed. You'd be lucky to last a minute without taking cover. Not to mention the enemies were EVERYWHERE. All around you, not just in front of you. Such crazy gun fights are what made Resistance so damn fun to play.

GeOW2 will be awesome no doubt about it.

Here is my only concern with that game. Insomniac has gone on record to say that when you look off in the far distance in Resistance 2 you will be able to reach what you see on screen. Its epic not just with backdrops but actual level design. I wonder if GeOW2 will not just show us all these beautiful backdrops but actually let the player go to them and play in them.

I'm astonished. I've never seen a game offer so much content and be of such high quality! Resistance 2 is a game definitely worth hyping. I rarely post my thoughts on what score I think a game will get, but I say AAA no doubt.

Resistance 2 is the most improved game I've ever seen as a gamer. 9.5 maybe? It's not too far fetched.
