Just wow. This game is simply going to be epic, not to mention a hell of a bang for your buck. Love it or hate it as a Castlevania game, there is no denying that it is going to be top shelf and content packed. God, I cannot wait to play this.

It is not spoilerrific or anything. Just an incredible trailer with a very basic overview of the game.

It does not spoil anything, though. Maybe some of the environments and foes, but nothing that is going to spoil the game. It is very much worth watching. Just a killer trailer.

I have the standard edition for PS3 pre-ordered. I am seriously thinking of upgrading, though. I don't do limited editions very often, but this game just oozes so much win I may have to splurge an extra $20.00.

Yeah but to be fair, one feels like a good evolution into 3D for a franchise, and the other feels like they are taking an already 3D action franchise, and morphing it into a completely different one. I hear ya though.

There were a bunch of people that were very hesitant when Castlevania was announced, but it has shaped up to be a great game. DMC is still 2 years from being released and could end up being a great game.

Just don't judge a game to early.

The series isnt undergoing changes, this is just one game in the series going in a different direction with a different developer. Koji Igarashi, the producer of every Castlevania after SotN, is still working on titles for the series.

Still dont agree with this game being called a Catlevania game, but its w/e. Not a real Castlevania game... IMO anyway.

The heck with it. As excited as I have been for this game, why not? I'll be heading to Gamestop this week to upgrade. The soundtrack and art book will be worth it.

How about I am gonna wait till I see actually gameplay before starting to form any kind of strong opinions on a game. Character models mean nothing to me as long as gameplay is fun.

Yea but some people dont have that mentality. They just said "OMG!!! emo dante the series is ruined" then wrote hatemail. Without seeing any gameplay at all. I mean there are some calling ninja theory the worst devlopers yet for a picture change in a reboot/reimagining. Me imma wait till I see some gameplay first.

Great replica of the mask, though. I dig that Absinthe green look as well. Oh well, I'll be content with the art book and soundtrack.

If the gameplay is different in this game, it will be because Capcom forces Ninja Theory to go in a different direction with it.

You gotta remember who is paying the bills here. This game and gameplay will turn out how Capcom wants. Now if the execution is horrible that all falls on Ninja Theory

actually the majority of system wars didn't like it until the recent videos were shown at TGS. I personally knew it was going to be an awesome game and have been hyping it since day 1 (mainly due to the voice acting cast + it being a castlevania title - huge fan of the series), but this game was constantly bashed as the GoW-ripoff with people saying '3D castlevanias were never good, this will be no different'. that was up until that 'majority' was blown away last week..

same goes for el shaddai. been hyping that since e3 and at first most people bashed the alpha build....'who want's to play a religious game? the combat looks like trash' until the new footage was shown at TGS, and then it appears as if most peoples' opinions changed...lol

Thanks for posting that video ironcreed. Looks really good. I actually haven't seen alot of the platforming before but what I saw looks really nice. Will preorder the CE on Amazon by the end of this week.

I think people mainly freaked out because they completely changed the main character of the series. Lords of Shadow is using a completely new character, not changing one that is so well known. At any rate, I am willing to give the game itself a chance. I like Ninja Theory and think they may end up making a great game, but we will just have to wait and see.

Thanks for posting that video ironcreed. Looks really good. I actually haven't seen alot of the platforming before but what I saw looks really nice. Will preorder the CE on Amazon by the end of this week.

Kind of funny because the gameplay looks like a mix of God of War, Shadow of the Colossus with Uncharted platforming and Dante's Inferno storyline

Im extremely glad I watched it, because up until just now, I wasnt even considering getting it. Now I'll have to save up for sure. Cannot wait.
