Take issue with would mean I have some kind of in depth problem with it, I dont given the board we are on. Its just a surprise to see some of the extreme, or one sided opinions you may post given that they are quite usually well thought out and well type/(said?).
..
If anything you seem to have an anti-console opinion that comes up in every post. A lot of that seems to come down to how consoles are limiting the PC and whatnot. Which is fine, its the truth. But despite that consoles will often present amazing experiences that are not seen on the PC. Insulting or putting them down and downplaying the experience they provide just seems to limit your experience in the hobby that you so clearly enjoy..

First off, welcome to System Wars! You should expect certain things here.
Secondly my "console limitation" comments as of late have been in reference to Crysis. Are you then saying it is unreasonable of me to say consoles are holding back PC? The response I would expect from anyone who is honest is it's not unreasonable.
Consoles have 512mb total memory, I have that much just on my graphics card. I am not saying that to boast, I am simply stating a fact. People had significant concern about Crysis coming to consoles, considering it had been stated even before Crysis 1 was released that consoles would require a cell streaming based experience. Sure enough, here we are in 2010 looking at Crysis 2; and it has been converted to cell streaming.
Now your previous... response suggests to me that you are not familiar with Cell streaming, considering you talked about Just Cause and claimed Crysis 1 works on consoles. Cell streaming isn't the same as having a large scale game, cell streaming by its nature is designed to fake large scale environments. The environments may look huge, but the actual scale is tiny. As described by the CEO of Crytek, Cell streaming is about dividing the game play into instances/bubbles of the game world. Rather than being in this huge world you are interacting with small scale bubbles that surround the player.
So it's all show, no game play. The world looks massive and open, in reality nothing exists out of the collection of cells the player currently resides in. Crysis didn't fake the large environment; so if you could see it you could interact with it. All that information requires a considerable amount of memory, memory consoles do not have. That's why Crysis 1 can never be ported to consoles, not in its current state where it is designed for a open environment.
You get angry at me because of the things I say, but what I am saying is not wrong. Crysis 2 has been limited as a result of console involvement. I know it must be irritating to have someone suggest that your platform of choice is limited, but to say otherwise would be lying. You should ask yourself if you are irritated by me because you think I am attacking consoles; or because you simply don't like what I am saying.
Great post annoyed dragon, couldnt have said it better myself. Console gamers dont seem to know anything about hardware, they really think the cell has hidden powers . I will say developers are doing amazing things this gen with the limited hardware {whish games for pc were this well optiomized} but it can only go so far, in the end you still need hardware
