As a huge batman fan my hype is through the roof for this. That's how you make a thread @charizard1605

I'll wait for in game footage before I judge.
I got Origin free with my GPU but still haven't installed it. My fault really I bought the first two games together on a steam sale and played them back to back... I am little fatigued on the combat.

Origins is decent. Not as good as the other two but gets the job done nonetheless. There are however some story moments that definitely shine over the other two.
But it's not my fault Dragon Age didn't get any new screens :(
Also, bjkldebjkeq this looks amazing. I really need to play City and Origins before this releases lol.

Meh... I'll give it shot when there's a drought.
I am curious as to why they would add the vehicles to the new game... Surely vehicles would be redundant with the fact that you can glide around?

Agreed. Think Origins gets bashed too much. Not as good but a fun game.

Well in a recent interview here they discussed the world is 20x larger than arkham city ( who knows really) and that they wanted to try something different ( which is good) melding man and machine is what the interviewee said.

I hope they don't force the vehicles on the player by having them as a part of missions... I hate vehicle segments in open world games.
I hope the best for the game but these day's I have to be pessimistic with sequels

Well I mean you're right. You can look at it though from their resume of work. City and asylum are rock solid games. I doubt they'll screw this one up but there's always a chance.

I suppose so.
That said its one of the reasons why I am pessimistic. Development studio's consist of large groups of people and its that assortment of people that bring you a game... Say if that team is 100 people, now if even 10 of those people decide to leave the studio or 10 new people decide to join the team future products aren't guaranteed to have the same level of product, it could be a good thing or a bad thing.
I'm not saying that Rocksteady has lost members of its team I am merely pointing out that the Development studio is more than just a name.
No one wants to speculate that 1.) Arkham Knight might very well be a pre-existing character from the Nolanverse (or DC) pantheon, and 2.) who this anti-hero might turn out to be?
(RE: SPOILERS.) I am not tied in with any devs, obviously so this is pure speculation and not spoiler-info. It may, however, potentially spoil a bit of Arkham City if you haven't played it. (You've been warned.) Also, please do not spoil anything from Arkham Origins for me as I haven't played it.
Here goes my guesses for who Arkham Knight turns out to be:
1.) Azrael -- A Batman type dude except he DOES kill? That would fit a grey-hero pretty well and Azrael has already warned Batman that he is watching him closely.
2.) Hush -- My second pick. Has identity issues which fits Arkham Knight. However, this would likely mean that Hush figured out Bruce Wayne is Batman and I don't buy that. Batman's arch enemies can't keep figuring out who he is and than not telling everyone.
3.) Joker -- Yes. Yes. Rocksteady said that (AC SPOILER) he's dead but they would HAVE to say that if they were going to make him A. Knight wouldn't they? Also, no matter how many nolanverse bad-guys you shove at Batman it is always the joker-batman bodyheat that steals the show. Rocksteady knows this I'm sure.
However, Arkham Knight appears to be a by-the-numbers comic-book antihero; Joker doesn't do ANYTHING by the numbers. (SPOILER) People who played Arkham Origins said that if I played that game, I would know that Joker couldn't possibly be Arkham Knight. I don't know what that means and I don't want to know so please don't say anything more.
4.) Riddler -- Pro: He needs to do something big or else why have I been cleaning up after his little pranks for over 100 hours of gameplay at this point? Con: Riddler doesn't do much phsysical stuff outside of his question-mark cane.
5.) Damien Wayne -- Don't know that dropping an illegitimate son -- also known as "pulling a Bryan Singer" -- on Batman out of nowhere really works so he is down on the list.
6.) Hugo Strange -- Seems like Hugo's style would be more to dress up exactly like Batman rather than an offshoot. However, he (AC SPOILER) goes down pretty quickly once confronted in AC. A little TOO quickly. If you know what I mean.
Also, "Nolanverse pantheon" is fun to say. Nolanverse pantheon. Nolanverse pantheon.
It does. But Rocksteady has said in-conjunction with DC they've created an all new character for this game.
Are these games really that good? Played an hour of the first one and was bored to tears of how repetitive the combat was.
The games are pretty universally praised. Also if you played an hour, you didn't unlock enough skills yada yada. There's a good amount of depth and button combos in the combat. But if you play it at face value yes it's easy to get board.

The first one is easily skippable. It's cool, but it doesn't feel as Batman-y as the second, and while it's more claustrophobic than the second, that doesn't help the pacing as much as some Asylum fans say.
Definitely, definitely, try Arkham City at least. That game is superb.

How could you possibly hate the possibility of driving the bat mobile? Are you a communist?

Rumor goin around was it was gonna be hush. There was an image runnin around the internet lemme go look for it

Oh yeah, I think I do recall reading that now. Hopefully it turns out good, I think there's good potential for it to be good. Snyder has proved that more villains can be successfully added to the universe like he did with The Court of Owls and the Talons.
@kuu2: If you're a huge Batman fan then City is right up your alley (no pun intended); it's almost a bit too fan-pleasing at times with all the bosses and HOW BATMAN CAN'T CATCH ANY OF THEM FOR THE FIRST TWO HOURS.
Then you can try to see if you can cop Asylum for cheap. It ramps up much more towards the middle which is cool. Haven't played Origins but I safely say keep the **** away from Blackgate unless rabies are your thing.

Both Azrael and Hush would be interesting to see. The former in particular. But then it could be an entirely new character. We'll just have to wait and see.
I couldn't be less excited about the concept of seeing the Joker again, at this point.

I agree Azrael or Hush would be cool to see or even Onomatopoeia, which I doubt they would put in these games, but it would be cool to see. I loved Batman: Cacophony

Good luck have "fun" doing a timed chase event 10 times in a row before you get it right.
Open world games rarely have great driving.

Yes absolutely amazing games. Both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City were two of the best games of last generation, not to mention the greatest super hero video games ever made. And the best two comic-based video games of all time. And I'm certain there isn't any other game because on an IP that comes close to these two. Except perhaps Goldeneye on the N64.
