New Assassin's Creed II Trailer - Most Improved Sequel This Gen? *Bad 56k!*

A new trailer for Assassin's Creed II has just come out of TGS. I, for one, absolutely loathed the repetitiveness and overall blandness of AC1. However, I grow ever more excited for the second Assassin's Creed by the day.

Everything looks to be improved. There's more variety, more choices and, of course, more assassinations. So, what do you think, can AC2 exceed everyone's expectations after the disappointing original?

Well, both are from Ubisoft. :P Anyway, I never tried Red Steel on my Wii. Was it really that bad?

After playing the first it's hard to be hyped about this game.

I cannot wait for ACII. Forza 3 is going to keep me quite busy, but as much as ACII is going to be improved, and as much as I liked the first one, I can't miss this on release (I was going to buy a 360 for the first one back when it was coming out).

the graphic style is so leet, I have very high hopes for AAA

Notice that I said "most" improved. Uncharted 1 was already an amazing game so the jump to 2 won't be as big as the jump from Assassin's Creed 1's mediocrity to Assassin's Creed 2's level of quality.

Disappointing? I was incredibly pleased by the original. Great story, great gameplay, just a little shallow and repetitive. I thought of it as a masterpiece of modern gaming. And I am completely, explosively hyped for II.

AC2 looks awesome. The first on was insanely cool, and this looks much better.

Definitely one of the most under-hyped games around.

Out of EVERY game? No.

I loved the first title it was a AAA game in my opinion. My only gripe was the quest and combat got repetitive pretty quick. Afterchecking some videos and interviews on AC II I doubt that will be the case this time around.

I don't see how it was under-appreciated. It recieved AAA scores on a lot of places. And, I for one, who hyped the hell out of it, was still surprised at the sheer amazingness of the game.

Easily "one" of the most under-hyped games around here. Mostly due to the fact that it's multiplat.

I understand fully. I get why people didn't like it, or didn't think of it as a masterpiece. But with ACII, I can easily say GotY contendor.

Oh, it is easily a GOTY contender. I too can see how one could see AC as a masterpiece if they could overlook the flaws. It was enjoyable.

Now, let me ask you something. Do those games actually have compelling gameplay, or are you just in it for the ladies shaped like this...

Once again, Uncharted 1 was already incredible. How can it be MOST IMPROVED if it is simply going from an incredible game to an even more incredible game whereas the quality jump between the two Assassin's Creeds is at least twice that?

Oh you cows! Even if Uncharted 2 gets a 10, it still won't be the most improved sequel. The game hasn't even improved that much :( Co-Op and Multiplayer are just about it. The Single Player may have gotten worse because there is even more shooting. Less Puzzles...I doubt Assassns Creed has a lot to improve on here at GS (it got AAA), but overall, it may improve a lot. Right now Killzone 2 is the most improved, but if Red Steel 2 gets justAA, it will be the most improved sequel this gen.

I loved the first and I know that II will be better. Hyping AAA.

That being said this year has been slow for me. 2010 needs to get here sooner. :P

I thought so too but from what I have seen in videos, it is basically the same as the first Uncharted. In the first Uncharted if you were fast, you could headshot a guy before they all noticed you,then everyone will go crazy on you. In U2, all it alow you to do is get closer, and as soon as you kill the guy everyone goes crazy on you.

Haha, games like H-Games are the visual novels that only have sex, eroges only have sex scenes that are spread out through the whole thing.. I mostly play the games for the storyline (as there isn't much gameplay) unless they have a mixture of genres, then I play it for the gameplay also. In all honesty I have never played one visual novel for the H-Scenes only (or at all), H-Scenes to me show the progression in the storyline/the romantic connection between the characters.

Anyways I'm going off topic, so no, I don't play them for the sex or girls (though if it's a romance visual novel I rather have good looking girls then ugly girls).

Uncharted 2 was the most improved this gen.

And it was already really good to begin with!
