Lots of new hands-on impressions from Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts just went live, so waste you evening reading what IGN, Eurogamer, Gamespot and CVG think of the Rare bear adventure.

What IGN thinks:
We're quite sure Rare's claims of endless replayability will hold true too if you get into Nuts & Bolts' admittedly excellent vehicle creation system with gusto. From recent evidence though - and assuming Rare isn't hiding anything significant from journos at this late stage - Nuts & Bolts feels like two promising concepts shoe-horned awkwardly into a single, unsatisfying whole. Yes, we're glad that Banjo and the bird are back - we're just not convinced if this is quite the right, er, vehicle for their return.
What EG thinks:
As it stands we're absolutely certain that the idea itself works. Construction is easy, fun and flexible, the mission structure and progression is in place, it looks amazing, and it's even got some quite fun (if rather hectic) multiplayer game modes in there. It may not be the game we expected it to be, but if building and racing vehicles around Banjo's worlds has enough depth to hold interest, it could still turn out to be a game we learn to love.
What CVG thinks:
It remains to be seen if Rare's still up to the task of wowing us like it did with those standout N64 moments, exploring Treasure Trove Cove in the air and stomping around Mayan temples as a giant gold statue... But we're very, very much looking forward to finding out come its launch on November 14.
What Gamespot thinks:
Banjo-Kazooie is shaping up, both visually and in its gameplay. The quirky design that's gone into some of the crazy gameworld looks promising, and fans of the series will be relieved to know that many of their beloved characters will be making starring or cameo appearances this time around. We're keen to play around more with Mumbo's vehicle editor and test out our creations in multiplayer matches-an equally solid experience in addition to the single-player mode-at a later date.
There are some new shots on Xboxygen for you, as well.
More? Gamespot's posted an interview with lead technical artist Neill Harrison and senior animator Elissa Miller, if all that isn't enough

Cool, it looks great. I just hope I have enough money after Fable 2 so I can get this game.

Meh. think I'll be passing on this one. I'd rather them had made Kameo 2 than this bizarro Banjo.

I'm not too jazzed about this game as a Banjo sequel, but in its own merits it looks fantastic--I love the concept.

oooh....,that doesn't sound good. I still say they should've just made this a new IP rather than using banjo characters.

That IGN preview doesn't look good. I'd advise the lems to lower their hype level to A for this one.

You cant compare LBP and Banjo, 2 completely different concepts. Their is a huge difference between user created content and slapping some peices of a vehicle together

another thing I'm worried about: how they hell are ou supposed to platform in vehicles? You can't turn on a dime and the onlyway you can jump is if you attach a spring board. Not to mention that the vehicles tend to flip over alot because of the physics.

rare...innovation just for the sake of innovation is not always a good thing. I know they wanted to switch thing up but it's like they took an entirely different genre and put banjo characters into it.

Look at mario galaxy. It stuck close to it's platforming roots while innovating on the side with it's level designs. It turned out to be the best platformer we've seen in years.

That's why u have the ability to create any type of vehicle u wish...preferably one that won't flip over

Lookin' hot, indeed. The only 360 exclusive I'm pumped for. Sure, it'll flop, I'm sure -- but this will be completely awesome anyways.

I kind of agree, I'm still afraid there'll be too much emphasis on creating your own vehicles.

I want this game badly but I don't want to buy a 360 for one game.:( Do the sites that advertise a free 360 for X amount of points actually work? I need this game.

IGN was pretty grossed out by the vehicle handling. I'll be getting this game day one - but only because I have been waiting forever for the next Banjo game. My expectations are low, let's just say that.

I'd buy this game if I had a 360, this and Fable 2 are the only games for 360 i'm interested in this year, but they both look great. I like this more then Fable 2.

I want this game, but I'm still going to admit that I'm not fully... as pumped? I guess for this game as I would be.

The vehicle stuff just throws me off, on one part, I think it may be pretty neat, but also... if the game can be completed with given set structures just fine, or if you have to spend hours tinkering around to build one vehicle that will be perfect for a certain objective, I just don't know about that. Lastly I just want to run, jump, collect Jiggies, and so forth. I wouldn't mind some innovative gameplay tweaks, but to change the formula radically from previous builds? :|

Call me cautiously optimistic.

Super Mario Galaxy is my 2nd favorite game this gen. I also really enjoyed Boom Blox, so making broad generlizations like that doesn't work.

I'm fairly sure people bash the wii because 99% of its games are aimed at kids, not because one or two are. There's nothing wrong with a more family friendly game, it only becomes a problem when that holds true for all of them.

LOL...that should be the new slogan to counter LBP, "we design your character and your level so you dont have to, we are the company that cares."

I agree with this...but beacause its banjo kazooie Ill probably buy unless ign or gamespot give it a 5/10
