If this has been posted already, I'm sorry. Strike at Karkand will have Seven, maybe the original eight, Flag Posts for Conquest.

I pre ordered and got the limited edition... still have not had any e-mail or confirmation with the code in or anything for this... Will I maybe get it closer to release? I know other people have already had theirs..lucfonzyI don't have such code....but it shows Back to Karkand Expansion pack for me on Battlelog.
The rest of the map looks alright from what I can tell, destruction being put to good use. But since DICE took out the last two flags, I'm gonna say get used to the scenario of 0:57.
Aw, and they made the sides of the bridge railings, so now you can't take cover from fire from the sides either. And the lil buildings that used to be on the left and right aren't there. Stalemate + no roof = killed by mortars. Everything about that part of the map just seems bad.

If Battlefield 3 had these at launch, this game would've been the best scored this gen.
THAT LOOKED SO AMAZING!
Too bad my pc can't run the pc version. I'm waiting on the inevitable holiday sale before I get it for ps3. But really, why people play MW over this is beyond me.
How you know?this is the type of war DICE wanted to bring to BF3, I bet you the tough guys at EA made them make tiny maps and rush the game out to compete with MW3. This expansion here is what BF3 was supposed to be all along

Everything bad a developer does was forced on it by the publisher, but everything good a developer does was on their own initiative.this is the type of war DICE wanted to bring to BF3, I bet you the tough guys at EA made them make tiny maps and rush the game out to compete with MW3. [QUOTE="wis3boi"]How you know? BF3 started being designed in 2006, and halfway through they got told to shift the focus on to consoles, thus maps that are tiny in comparison to BF2's. Number of flags was also basically halved. If you look at the PC version of the Karkand maps in this DLC, they return to their original 8-10 flags and original size. The console versions have 3-4 cap point flags.this is the type of war DICE wanted to bring to BF3, I bet you the tough guys at EA made them make tiny maps and rush the game out to compete with MW3. If you examine that picture closely you'll notice that there are 7 flags, not 9. Without the rightmost area it'll be difficult for the US to gain a foothold or sneak around the back during various parts of the round, eliminating the dynamics brought by that possibility. Instead I predict cluster****s at the bridge are going to be more common. This was a weak part of the original map. Basically turns into a quite bad Rush map. It was sort of tolerable as it was just one of the ways the map could unfold. More of that and less of other things would be bad. Worsened by the reduction in cover, and I imagine by mortars now being a factor.
I would be interested in hearing why DICE thought this change was necessary.
