What does it mean by "the cult of rapture" and the graphics are looking terrible, I'm guessing those are very early screens or something.

The only game Xbox360 has that i have seen that have really amazing graphics are GEOW.

Err. I find those pictures rather disappointing. WAY too much blur/bloom effect. And the guy there almost looks cartoony. The wrench looks pretty sweet though. All in all, EDIT Those screen shots /EDIT look very poor for all the hype. That isn't to say it looks horrible. But I am a little less interested now... just a little though. I'll have to see a more revised edition. I am just not a big fan of the glowy/blur effect that a lot of 360 games use. (This game more than most though... I mean.. it almost looks like it should be a flashback or something :P)

Something about the characters' hands doesn't seem right. If that's the case, then the graphics in this game are pretty weak for a high-end console.

We all know what the game looks like from that demonstration. But those pics do no justice to seeing this demo. Are you sure those are new pics?

Resistance looks better then this game. Seems like Epic is the only one that nows how to make amazing graphic for

Not when you see B Y and X on the screen.

Maybe it have been downgraded for the xbox version its not the first time  DEV have done that.

Actually the look is kind of interesting. Not quite what I was expecting, but not as bad as many of you are saying. I think that the devs are just going for a more artistic approach then the "realistic" approach a lot of games are shooting for these days. So that can be a little off-putting if that's what you are expecting.

I don't get this... Is this a bad thing or a good thing to post these. Are you trying to make BioShock look bad or just posting screens to show how good it is?

After seeing the demo, I can honestly say that these screenshots are more than likely current. Badly rendered/compressed? probably. But the style is the same. As well as the intense glow. While it looks pretty good, I still say it isn't very becoming of the "OMG THIS GAME IS AMAZING" hype. And honestly, after watching that demo, I am far less interested in it than I was originally. It looks like the developers are working hard on it, and it looks like they are doing a great job for what they are trying to achieve. But it is just not my kind of game. All I can say is, they could have done a lot better in my eyes. Mainly graphics wise.

Note: This post has nothing to do with consoles or systems. This is my opinion on the game its self.

Washed out look, jaggies and low res textures.

The GAME is amazing. Graphics not so much. I don't know where it got lost, but the entire reason in the first place anybody is looking forward to this game is 'omg System Shock 2 successor omg.' Part of why I went off so hard on people talking about the game that had never played SS2.. so yeah. Speaking bluntly, I think the game's going to go completely over the head of half the people on the forum trying to hype it.

Some people are impossible to please. But yeah, to the guy that responded to me (sorry, didn't catch your name). Thats basically what I was saying. The gameplay looks like a solid, well-thought out story, but the graphics just seemed.. I don't know.. less than what I was expecting? The screenshot of the crazy guys getting shot (see quoted post), looks pretty sweet. But.. at the same time It still doesn't look like MY kind of game. For one, the story doesn't appeal to me very much. The character moves (seemingly) quite slow, which is fitting for a horror/suspence game. Which is not my fortè either. This is one of those kinds of scenarios (IMO) of "It would make a sweet movie...." *shrug* I dunno what more I can say. Then again, I really would have to see/hear more about it, but so far, the cartoony/wierd "american mcgee's alice" approach to graphics, while great for the eerie aspect, and even though they look great for what they are, it just doesn't appeal to me... so far. I lost a good bit of interest for the time being.

I sure hope you're not grouping me in with those "trolls". Confirmation yes/no?

also, are you assuming that people can't genuinely think that a game has rather poor graphics, reguardless of consoles?

I don't care what console it is on. I can't speak for everyone else though, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't take a fanboy to see that those pictures in the TC's post look pretty bad. Honestly, you have to be a complete MS fanboy to think they don't look somewhat sub-par, even compared to other Bioshock screenshots.

Also, that 15 minute demo isn't very flattering either in my eyes. In fact, that just confirmed for me that the game lacks the kind of forbidden>
