I enjoyed Black Opps. If they fill the game with as much content as the other then I will probably buy it.

Not really. It became a major hit. The cause of the repetitiveness came from other developers and publishers trying to copy Call of Duty and steal some of it's shares.ShadowDeathX

They are providing a example for other developers that yearly, rehashed shooters will still make bucket loads of money, usually more so compared to other games that follow a different plan (sometimes better ones). I don't like that, and even though no one's gonna care what i like, i care, so i'm gonna express myself.

Activision is a company, if i were in the CEOs shoes, i would do the exact same thing, because that's what's best for your company, to nurish it to become bigger.

But since i'm not in his shoes, then i'm just gonna bash the f*ck outa this practice.

What I got from that trailer:
David S. Goyer is writing the story.
Trent Reznor is composing the music.
Villain knows Frank Woods.
There will be explosions. Lots of them, as usual.

Pretty mediocre trailer (needs less explosions), though I'm still interested in the game.

The series takes itself to seriously for what it is. It needs to be more self aware.

Looks to be a good year for FPS fans, I think Far Cry 3 has the most potential but Black Ops 2 looks the most intense and interesting. Halo 4 will hopefully please the Halo fans, but I'm not interested in that series anymore.

Lol COD haters are all hypocrites, check their gamertags, they all play COD. What's even more funny is they bash the series for "milkage" but then turn around and praise games like Halo which do the same exact thing, there has been a new Halo every year for the past 3 years, but no one calls it out on that.

Yep oh well that's just SW for ya, SW does not represent the majoirty, most people in real life like COD. SW is the minority.

Same!! i hear zombies now have its own mode and everything just like MP and story mode..meaning its not just a mini game anymore and able to have more than 4 players!

Story looks interesting, but nothing spectacular or anything different than Call of Duty.

The visuals definitely looked dated, but what would one expect on an engine from CoD 4.

Looks to be another Call of Duty, will see how it turns out though.

Its very true.. i saw it few few days after E3 on youtube from machinima as they were discussing black ops 2. you'll see some very new announcments will release soon the closer the release date gets.

If they pull it off right, it will be the best Zombie game of all time. A bunch of players running around a map or story with zombies chasing them, it would be like The Walking Dead lol.

Does look good for what Call of Duty is. You have to admit, Call of Duty has stuck to the roots they created with CoD4, or even CoD1. Very cinematic and follows the cinematic themes that are popular in movies at the time. Of course, people are going to complain that it is too much of the same thing and then complain when other game changes up its formula. Call of Duty should stay as it is.ShadowDeathX

See I don't buy it now because it is too much of the same thing. I don't feel (personally) that I am getting a whole new product from each installment to the next, just a re-skin. I considered W@W to be just 4 in WWII with vehicles but it at least added Zombies, then MW2 actually added customizable killstreaks added more than just the 3, 5 and 7 Killstreak rewards, and Spec Ops. Black Ops just did the same as MW2 in a different setting with some customization and swapped Spec Ops for zombies, MW3 just did the same but when to the modern setting and back to Spec Ops...

So I stopped buying after BlOps (was a gift anyways) because to me, this wasn't enough to justify it as a full $60 sequel to the last installment, I like the games, they are fun, but MW2 and on it was just copy-paste + reskin. And while the campaigns were fun at first, they've become predictable (the over-the-top scripted events, Uncharted 3 got stale with this as well).

Soon as they switch some things up and add new features I'd consider getting a new copy. That doesn't mean "Well it's a shooter of course it's going to be the same at the core" Halo Reach was the same at the core, but the addition of new MP modes, and the suit abilities made it play and feel a lot different, and switch up the playstyle.

TL;DR I'd actually be happy of CoD tried something more adventurous, and not complain for changing what it is.

I do see the appeal in it though for those who do enjoy it still, just my thoughts.
