You would expect the selling point for it to be cheaper than the competition. I didn't even buy a Sony console at $600 despite them being a well respected brand and the PS1 & PS2 being great platforms.
The most intersting thing i learned from that kotaku article was that china officially bans all game consoles,which is weird when they are the ones that make all of them!
I read before that it was only meant to be sold in china because some consoles were banned from being sold in china so i don't think they'll go over seas.
Yup the Chinese are that deep into keeping money into their own pockets it seems. Now i'm not gonna say communism because that would make me sound American but i'll say I sure as hell i'm glad I wasn't born in China. it's like 1/5 odds to be born there.... shivers!

And why china bans all game consoles.......?? Because China believes it will distract their youth from learning. Though game consoles are still widely sold in China.

Well there is truth in that entertainment as a whole can be distracting and keep us away from what is perhaps more important,i just find it hypocritical that china manufacture nintendo/sony and microsoft's consoles but yet they won't officially allow Chinese citizens purchase them.

you do know its not chinas govnment thats treating people like slaves right? its the evil company fox con thats so bad 14 people killed them selfs in 1 years from working there.
