Why in the hell would they be of the console version? These are bulllshots if I've ever seen em...GeneralShowzer
Yes they are. With much higher AA and stuff but i do want my PC version to have longer draw distance and better textures :P Those are good...for good console game that is.
You HONESTLY think thats Xbox footage??
Its not. sorry to bust your bubble brah
Kamekazi_69
Well according to preview they did play the part of the game that is in those screenshots.I mean...sure they are bullshots but i expect those kind of textures and view distance on console version. On PC i want more :)

You'll get more on the PC. They even have said that they will only show the 360 version of the game until it comes out for marketing reasons. Don't want to show somebody near CGI level graphics then give them an above average looking console game.
Are they sticking to non-linear open world like the first one, or is it going to be linear this time?funsohngThey're sticking with the sandbox gameplay if that's what you mean. There was never an open world.

I've heard they aren't supporting dx 11. It doesn't mean the game won't look amazing, but it certainly doesn't help.

How is the first one non-linear?
Read the damn previews. He talks about the gameplay. It's nearly identical to Crysis just in the city, not a jungle.

Wrong. Cry Engine 3 fully supports DX10 and 11. Nvidia even is helping Crysis 2 be much more optimized with DX11.

Fix'd. ;)
Interesting though. It must have been an old article I was looking at then, it did seem odd.

As far as I remember, it's Tesselation that it won't support but that may have changed.
That doesn't look that good. I can't wait to see the PC version on very high settings. That will be amazing.
Like I said Bus, not CGK material.the gamelooks good, but those are obviously BS, and the weapon models and texturesstill need alot of work
Neither article addressed some of my concerns. This is more a preview for console gamers, because most of the information might as well be Crysis 1; with a few extras.
Can I destroy objects so that they collapse on the enemy, like with huts and trees in the first game, or are the environmental structures now fixed items that react to nothing?
I don't see what people are complaining about. The game looks great and looks to play exactly like the first one did. Plus the fact that manhatten is huge! I think people tend to forget just how open that city is, especially once you take damage and destruction into account. I for one don't fear that it's being consolised, I have Dragon Age 2 for that.

So I guess Uncharted 2 is not CGK because of it's textures....

I don't know how it will look on consoles but if it looked like those screenshots with lower AA and AF then it would certainly qualify for CGK.

I thought tesselation implementation was one of the requirements of being dx11 compliant?
