i love the overall idea in this game. somethign a bit different. by 3rd party wii standards, this is also a looker and the animation is very good imho.
i have my doubts about the combat though. not the controls, they sound fine, but this whole idea of seeing a spider punch something is a bit rediculous. u can see from the game just how awkward and nefficent it would be for a spider to punch something. the scorpion also has some silly looking moves. i believe this game is built on a modified version of the WWE somethign or other engine and its showing just a little too much.
now if they were making a comedy then fair enough, but i think this game takes itself fairly seriously. spiders dont punch, they surprise and pounce and bite. scorpions dont throw their prey around, they grab and sting and then wait for the venom to kick in.
i think the devs need to watch a bit less national geographic and bit more of the BBCs nature documentaries :P.
on a side note, i remember seeing a documentary and briefly at the end, it showed what it would be like to live at an insects level with CGI. running on the ground and seeing these massive spiders come after you was quite terrifying despite the low rent CGI (mainly because spiders would have us completly outclassed phiysically if we were there size).
id love to see a game like that...a game about trying to survive in the undergrowth. somethign like honey i shrunk the kids...but alot less family friendly.
