new DeepDown gameplay .looks boring and dull..linky

That soundtrack is godly, fits the tone so well.

This game reminds me so much of Dark Cloud, one of my GOAT's.
One of the only games I'm actually really excited about but 1 things for sure, I am definitely not using that shitty spear as a weapon.

There is a lot of framerate issues and the game doesnt even look that good graphically. Also weightless corpses like on GeOW. These so called next gen consoles dont look so next gen to me.

Hey... Xbox One owners have their Crapcom game, PS4 owners have theirs... My question is, with only 152 million in the bank, why is Crapcom making "exclusive" games in the first place? Exactly how much money does Capcom hope to make by selling these games individually like this? The Dead Rising series wasn't exactly "system sellers" and this new IP for PS4 doesn't look to do anything better...

I dont see why people hate on the gameplay it looks really good. They have shown you can do 4 types of melee attacks (meanwhile dark souls only has 2 types of melee attacks). There are parries and backsteps too. Also there shitloads of spells that add a tactical layer to the game. And from what I hear its pretty hard too considering the stage demo is probably set in easy mode

Game looks pretty good to me. I have never liked dungeon crawlers, but the co-op aspect interests me. It needs a good story though and the Assasssin's Creed rip-off doesn't work for me yet.

Music is epic and it run 60fps.

I'm confused, he got hit more than 3 times and didn't die. Gameplay didn't look fun, maybe the player just sucked? Though even crappy Dark Souls players can be entertaining.mbrockway

Um yes, press R1 to do a normal melee attack or press R2 if you want a strong melee attack.  Its okay though, dark souls has a realistic melee combat therefore flashy special melee attacks are not needed, in fact thats what made it one my favourite games of this generation.

Wow, I read in a preview that the behaviour of monsters change depending on what part of the body you hit the monster, for example if you hit one of those monsters shown in the demo in the eye you get a critical hit but they become extremly agressive too due to the pain but if you hit them in the legs you do little damage but you force them to kneel. Sounds pretty awesome.
