lol Nathan Drakes ugly twin? (judging from that pic)Im gonna watch it now.
I havent seen anything on it since MS E3 conference but i remember it looking real slick. This will probably be my arcade game of 09. I also read in an interview the devs are aspiring for a Metroid vibe. That can only be win.
This looks fun, but why is everyone foaming at the mouth for this, calling this the best downloadable title this gen. What I saw at E3 wasn't exactly ZOMG NEED. Splosion man looks more fun than this imo. And Trine looks WAY better than this imo. navstar29Only bio is saying 'best dl game this gen' :P I'd say its a good chance at 9.0 seeing as how it SHOULD have a good story, it has cinematics which very few arcade games have, the graphics are awesome for arcade, it will be LONG and have good replayability ..as long as it controls good and no bugs it should be 9. Level design is one worry but we'll see.

It doesn't stand out as that amazing. It looks like it will be fun no doubt. But Trine has a more beautiful artstyle imo and has similar 2d style gameplay, not sure whether Shadow Complex has co-op though, I believe it does if I remember what I saw at E3 correctly, which should be a lot fun too. Also note that Quest for Booty had a great story, had cinematics, great graphics for a PSN title and albeit its about 1/3rd to 1/2 of the "proclaimed length of Shadow Complex". So long as Shadow Complex has no variety it should do just fine on GS.
You can't really say any R&C game is comparable to an actual new IP developed for specifically for arcade..r&c was already developed for ps3 and just released an expansion as DD, it could have easily been disc based :? DeadMagazinesthat r&c quest for booty was to crappy to sell disc based
arent the GeOW guys making this? they need to make this a full scale game, why waste so much potential on an XBLA game?

DeadMagazinesAt the end of the day they meant it to be a PSN only title, and it is a PSN only title and it didn't require the disc to play. And to be honest I just felt it was fitting to throw a variety joke in there.

Believe me, Trine falls apart. While the game is beautiful and the physics-based platforming is awesome at times, the ending completely ditches what made it so awesome and becomes a chore, even though it's short. It makes you go "Wtf were they thinking?!". There's a reason 'Splosion Man scored higher than Trine. It's unique, fun, challenging, rewarding, but most of all, it never loses its momentum, which the same can't be said for Trine. Shadow Complex will outperform both.
Also, the normal length of Shadow Complex isn't 1 1/2 - 2 hours. That's a marathon run through the game. 1UP said it was about 6 hours on ListenUP. R&C is also comparable to a PS3-style release like Warhawk, or an Xbox 360 retail game, NOT an arcade game. Actually, it's more comparable to The Lost & Damned episodic content for GTA IV. The only difference being you don't need a disc to boot it, and also it's about 8 hours shorter than The Lost & Damned.

Did you fail to realize it is a full game? So you'd rather pay $60 for the same game instead of $15? :| Awesome. And Chair developed it, not Epic. Let's give credit where it's due.
or how about higher than a 6.5?[QUOTE="MizFitAwesome"]
Anyone want to bet it scores higher then 7.5?

Yeah, this will score high. High as the sky, my friend.

I think you misread what I wrote. I meant QfB is 1/2 the length of Shadow Complex's proclaimed length as in QfB is a 3-5 hr game compared to the 6-12hr that they've stated SC will be. And thats honestly sad to hear about Trine. I was really looking forward to getting it on PSN. But Brad Shoemaker really liked it though, and I've coincided with his opinions most of the time, hopefully this is one of them. Still don't see what makes Shadow Complex so amazing for some of you. To me it just looks fun, not amazing though. This looks fun, but why is everyone foaming at the mouth for this, calling this the best downloadable title this gen. Take a look at this video before you talk. I agree with Bioshockownz; it will be best DLC game IMO.
This month! 19th I think. A lot of downloadable games this month.Release date ?
Day one buy.

Like they always say, different strokes for different folks. We'll see when the review drops, though.
Serious Sam HD, Perfect Dark, Battlefield 1943, Call of Duty 1, Quake 3; Team Arena, Metal Slug 7, Darwinia+ and Final Doom They will all laugh at Shadow Complex 6-12 hours for a arcade game? this is from Epic?......Hmmm, I wonder what the real time will beWWIAB
A bunch of great old games that have since fallen behind to better? Hmm, doesn't sound too convincing. And Epic didn't make the game. ListenUP (1UP) said it lasted 5-6 hours for them.
Looks like a Crash Commando + Bionic Commando rip-off
hassan1989
Nope, not really. Crash Commando was a rip-off of so many titles prior to it, so why even name it? Shadow Complex has much higher production values and up-to-date technology, physics, etc, etc.
