Terrible franchise.

I never really understood the stereotyping online with DOA games -- they're hella fun, easy to pick up and play but still offer some depth(it has pluses and minuses just like any other fighter), characters look nice(cute costumes for a lot of them too) and the environments are really beautiful as well. It's a great franchise.

It comes from the excessive fanservice in the Volley Ball games...which indeed are kind of pointless and weird :?

However those who have played the core franchise knows that this is a really good figthing franchise.

Yep, one of my favorite 3d fighting game series for sure.

After the disappointing SC3 and SC4 i'll go as far as saying that DOA is my favorite 3D figthing franchise.

I agree, but what I like about DOA is that it is easier to get more people to play it. I don't know anybody that will invest in VF, and only a few that will play Tekken. DOA on the other hand, most people I know will pick it up. I'm speaking locally, of course, but that is where fighting games are at their best.

Or it's made for people who enjoy 3d fighters with great level design and a great combo system, after the disaster that was Tekken 6 im looking forward to DoA 5 as its been 6 years since DoA 4. I'll give you that the Volleyball spin off was pure smut, this is a decent fighter.

Doesn't matter if he left or not, the fact is that the game is a joke. If you want to play a REAL fighter go play Mortal Kombat like I do, it's a real fighter, or play super smash bros. That's also a real fighter, DOA is not.

been waiting for this sequel for years..kinda enjoying watching people STILL call the series a joke when they clearly haven't played passed DOA2

If it's going to be as cheap and frustrating as DOA4, there's no way I'm buying it. DOA3 was great, but they totally screwed up with 4.001011000101101

dont know how people can think VF5 or even TEKKEN is better than DOA4. let me make this as clear as possible: THE GAME IS 100% COMPLETELY BALANCED, easy to pick up, EXTREMELY HARD TO MASTER. when I played VF5 wcg tournament, EVERYONE CHOSE LEI FEI? why?
