You know what the pics look like to me? Fable 1. The difference will be whether they actually make the environment OPEN ENDED like it was supposed to be, instead of just a bunch of linear paths blocked off by fences.

I can't find any Crysis pic looking as good in grass/trees/shadows, sorry, you can't really suggest that Fable 1 beat Crysis though

I'm sorry, I don't know what the hell you just said. What I was saying is that those Fable 2 pics look the same as the original Fable to me in terms of quality. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but only if they expanded the game to the scale that they originally intended.

Edit: I had Fable: Lost Chapters on my PC on highest settings. I don't know if it looked the same as the Xbox one.

Fable was only a dissappointment if you were naive enough to listen to PR around it.  The game itself was a lot of fun.

As of right now graphics arent impressive what is impressive is that its got a lot more development time and I will soon be loading this game up in my box next year.  Game On.

Could you be kind enough to explain in what way ? Because i see FAR better shadows, visible on grass and on the house, far more grass on the ground, far more 3D trees, far better HDR+lighting on Fable 2 etc, and it is 10% finished, unlike Crysis which is 90%

Plus people are right, in the actual video everything moves in the wind, including those shadows, it is a MARVEL, Crysis looks boring and just barely comparable

Did i mension the sun beams ? Or the huge cities Crysis can only dream of ? Enjoy the usual huts here and there, when only on 360 can visit next gen fully realised cities

Looking plenty good enough to me, and will no doubt be even better. I am actually all the way with you on Fable 2, Greg. As Fable was one of my absolute favorites on the Xbox. Fable 2 will no doubt be killer. Please, lay off the Crysis comparisons though, lol.

On a side note, any fan of Fable type games who wants a great game to hold them over should consider picking up Overlord by Codemasters this June. That game looks and sounds like it is going to be Fable's wet dream if you ask me.

Looks pretty good. Obviously the final version will look a lot better. for instance the hills in the background won't be a brown smeared mess. Hopefully it'll feature some actual vast landscapes and lush scenery this time, not tiny, linear paths.Banankraken

Defiantly, this is way too early, and there will not be those Fable placeholders in textures and buildings

Greg, lol....I agree that Fable is a fantastic game, and that Fable 2 is looking like it is coming along very well, but to say it looks better than Crysis:question::|:lol:. Come on, man. This is probably the most ridiculous comparison that I have ever seen, bar none....that is unless you are just joking. Please tell me that you are?

I realize that Fable is obviously your favorite game, but that does not automatically make it the best looking game ever, lol. If it is the best for you, then that is great. But compared to the reality of the situation, Crysis is just on another level....period. I am sure that Fable 2 will look way better upon completion, and will still probably be a great looking game even next to Crysis, but it still will not be able to touch it graphically.

Come back down to earth, my friend. I think Fable 2 would be far better compared against a game like OVERLORD, which is coming out this June. Try that one on for size, and you will have a better comparison. And although I am extremely excited for Fable 2, I actually think that Overlord will be Fable's wet dream personally.:)

I loved Fable's artstyle, but please post the Diary video.  The Town and ambient world look fantastic and fluid.  It fits the game perfectly. 

Does it look as good as Crysis, no.  Does it look great?  Yes.  On top of that, the Soundtrack is going to absolutely amazing.  One thing that stood out from Fable was it's astounding soundtrack and music, which IMO is the best in an RPG.

Indeed, man. The Fable soundtrack was just the PERFECT music for an RPG. Every sound just seemed to fit the moment, and really drew you into the game.
