Looks great, but realistic trees don't make a game...unless that game is about forestry.EntwineX
I only played he xbox version, but as far as that version goes hiding in trees and bushes was a big factor. I dont know if the pc version was like that because i've been told it quickly turned into an inside space with endless corridors?

Far cry lots of trees crysis lots of trees Farcray 2 lots of African trees
Um this really f'in sucks. If I heard the guy correctly in the back ground he said it was coming out at the end of 2008. Yet again consoles slowing down the development of PC gaming. Oh but we want to make a consolised downgrade version. Im not happy.KillfoxIf PC gamers actually bought their games, maybe it would have stayed exclusive to PC.
[QUOTE="THE_Rob_Himself"]UE 3.5 looked much more impressive, they way the branches fall is horrible....they like bounced out of the treeKillfox
Hmm tight small corridors versus several kilometers.
hundreds of locust on screen? lol did you watch the tech demo or not?

Man do you believe everything cliffy B says. Anyways, if you think so many people pirate games then why does PC still hold more than 20% of the gaming market, sold over 2 billion dollars on DD, and companies like Intel buying project offset???

Its a demo of the engine. Just like when we first saw crysis demo. It looked amazing. That wasnt the actual game. It was a demo of the technology. The same goes for this UE3.5 demo.

Only UE3.5 was barely more impressive than what they displayed for UT3 over a year ago ...

you mean UT 3 used UE 3, and the new UE is only .5 better:o .....oh wait...its called UE 3.5..
3.5 is either a version number or a gimmicky "zomg weve updated and named it 3.5 for marketing effect!" ...
Honest to god, its not a big improvement , destructable objects was shown over a year ago, the water has better ripples but look awful as an ocean.
That meat block thing was awesome though....
Unreal 3 is old, I'm quite frankly sick of seeing it...

the soft body physics, and crowd rendering were what impressed me..
If you can listen at around 2:00-2:10 of that video, the background speaker says that the demo is running on the Intel Skulltrail mainboard with 2x Quad-cores. I wonder what kind of graphics card will run this, area is larger than Crysis but not quite as pretty on highest visuals. It should be less of a tech demo than Crysis and more of an actual game though.Pro_wrestler
Ok. Honestly thats over kill. Even games like crysis that do take advantage of more cores dont do crap. There will be no game that comes out this year that will require you to have 8 cores to run all the physics. You can even sig me if I am wrong. We are barely even scratched the surface with Core 2 duos and this game is running on skulltrial. I think its more of a marketing thing than actual performance.

Yeah definitely overkill, I think our GPUs are behind though, its time for a massive upgrade and hopefully the G100s can offer a glimmer of hope raping Crysis.
