I've had a 360 since it first came out and Ive played just about every noteable game that has came out for it.
Something about these games just doesnt feel right to me but i cant explain it.

The PS3 doesnt seem too much different either.

Im 22 now and I've been a big fan of Nintendo since I was a kid.
I dont have a Wii now but sometimes I want to get one but I've invested so much in all these "next-gen" games I dont know if Ishould take a risk with nintendo!

I admit though that when i watch videos of games like super mario galaxy and paper mario and SSBM it brings me a bit of joy.

Does anyone feel the same way? Should I give nintendo a chance they've never let me down on any system since the SNES.
I miss my nintendo =(.

So sell either your PS3 or 360 and get a wii. Or just buy a Wii it cant be that much more of a commitment if youve already own PS3 and a 360.

Get a Wii. Do what you have to do but get a Wii. Nintendo has certain philosophies when it comes to game design and they stick to them. Theres a reason why even rushed Nintendo games seem to have just a little touch of magic to them.

I personally see new games being designed around one of two philosophies narrative/realism focus or that "classic" feeling. Games used to not have any focus other than how fun it was to play, and that's what Nintendo does best. I wish I could come up with a better term for them, but compare the three biggest 360 titles to the three biggest Wii titles (IMO it's SMG, Metroid, and Zack and Wiki even though it's third party) and you can feel the difference.

Just get a Wii, very good new games that make you remember why games are fun and the VC featuring some of the best games ever created.

Your topic title and the content of your post do not go together at all.

As for the topic, new games have as much "soul" as anything in the past. I think you might just be remembering "classic" games with the fog of nostalgia doing its thing.

As for the Wii, I would suggest getting one when you can. It has some great games that are really fun, and with all three consoles, you cannot really go wrong.
