New gaming monitor 24'' LED or 3DS?

I am a pretty hardcore pc gamer and was thinking of picking up a Nintendo 3DS to play some great games I haven't touched yet. But I also would like a better gaming monitor with 120Hz, (144Hz) in the one I was looking at better response time, LED and better all around then the one I have now. This is the one I am looking at. It's either a big monitor upgrade for my monster gaming PC or pickup a Nintendo 3DS for now which is less money and get a few games for it and maybe get the monitor for my xmas/birthday present.

Is your graphics card/s grunty enough to drive 120 frames a second?

I have a EVGA GTX 690, the best card currently available. Most games are SLi compatible especially the big AAA titles coming out like BF4, Watch Dogs, The DIvision, TItanfall too.theguynextdr21

I'd go for the 120fps monitor man. 

But I'm curious, what are the 'great games' you 'haven't touched yet' on the 3DS? Pushmo/Pullblox?

Tough decision. Buy a system to get access to a bunch of different games, or, buy a better display so you get the most from your awesome graphics card. Games you're planning on buying in the future anyway are going to look better. 

Well, I've bought a 3DS before and it was so-so. I've been thinking about a 120fps monitor myself. 

If I were you I'd go for the monitor. Why? Because if your #1 platform is the PC, then you're just going to enhance your experience on the #1 platform. But I don't know man, if you have some nintendo nostalgia then maybe the 3ds is for you? This is a tough decision man.

I can live with my 60Hz 5ms monitor for now, but I wanted to get something now and then something for xmas/birthday present. Which should I pick up now then atleast? Since I'm waiting on Next-Gen for a bit.

Are you still running the GTX560? The reason I ask is because I have a 7850 which is apparently, slightly more powerful (in BF3 at least) but I don't think my 7850 is a good enough card for 120fps gaming. Does your card normally render all 120 frames?

I'd go monitor now, 3ds xl at christmas. But I'm not you, you can do anything you want to.

For one thing you have a 7850 which is a decent enough card, I have a GTX 690 dude, you know what kind of improvement that is, I can play most games on all highest settings right now except for ARMA 3 because the engine is shit.
