New Gears 3 Gameplay!! Looks GREAT!! UPDATED 10/7!!

Gamers got hands-on time with Gears of War 3's new Beast mode last week - and have whacked the results up on YouTube.

As you can see below, the off-screen movies from the EG Expo show players taking control of various Locust types and attacking COG members.

The new multiplayer mode awards you tokens for killing enemies that allow you to upgrade to stronger ****s.

It had better be beyond great since it's now pushed back past next March.

Graphically it looks to be the best Gears yet, and IMO "console graphics King" I hope the gameplay is like the original but with more variety.

At release thoughI expect it to look pretty average.

Beast mode looks pretty sweet. But dammit, I'm guess I'm going to have to resubscribe to live then.:|

I've never managed to get into the gears series.

I hate the ugly visuals, the characters, the MP, and the story.

I can point out more negative then positives, which is never a good sign.

People can play multiplats so who cares.

This game easily has some of the best graphics on consoles.

I just renewed my Live subscription for another 12 months & then shortly after Gears gets delayed until late next year. Why!?

I guess the graphics look nice, but that gameplay looked booring as hell.

Looks like they slowed it down even more. :S Maybe that was just a bad player?

Not gonna buy the game for multiplayer anyways, so i guess it doesnt matter, but it makes me suspicious...

Offscreen videos, but it does seem to look amazing, and easily onpar with Uncharted 2 in my opinion.

I want to see actual multiplayer gameplay for a multiplayer centric shooter, not Beast Mode. We've seen enough of it already..

When the game comes out I won't even need to play it. I've seen everything that mode offers already..

What videos did you people see? This game looks just like Gears 2. The Unreal Engine can look decent now-a-days but none of the UE games look stunning or close.

Looks great...not BS shots posted in these forums great but still it will be easily in the top 5 best looking console titles.. too bad its been pushed back :( guess i'll have to go back and play some more Geow2 ;)

I hope more info is released on the story & other multiplayer modes.. Geow3 is definately on my top 3 most anticipated titles next year :)

L4D's VS mode has become pretty influential. Both Dead Space 2 and Gears 3 are using it...

I think MS this gen have always had a Halo or a Gears at that time, and I imagine it's a calculated timing.

Beast mode looked like a snore fest sadly.

The graphics are really dissapointing, you won't find better footage then offscreen footage and even then it looks just like Gears 2, and we all know Gears 2 get's destroyed by games like KZ2, Uncharted 1, MGS4 etc...

Lol, no. One thing I've noticed about the environments in Gears 3 footage thus far is that even near explosions and under people's feet, plants do not move. They are not dynamic and probably do not push as many polygons, so I'd say Uncharted has da foliage. Also, Gears 2 explosions made me mad; they were like UC1 explosions, which also made me mad. Grrrr.

Im sorry but you are wrong...Gears 3 foliage>>any other game.Just look how good it looks(and it moves when you walk through it).About poly count i dont know how you people can get the number just by looking...UC2 is not game that pushes some enormous amount of polygons.1.2mil per frame~35 mil per sec.There are games(RE5) that push twice as much...
