It'll look a bazillion times better on pc. And MODS!!!groudyogreMods are the main attraction for me. I already played the hell out of this game on the 360, but I will do the same with the PC.
When Gears of War 2 gets announced, I will immediately think of it as a 360/Pc game no matter what big fat mark rein says. Epic needs to stop insulting our intelligence and come right out and say Gears 2 will go to the PC.
Not that I want it for the pc, my computer couldn't run it anyways...

There is barely a difference, What are talking about?
High resolutions only increase fidelity, not the quality of the effects themselves.

Who cares, it makes it look better anyways, by a lot. ;)
AA and AF will only add to it, to make an overall much better looking game.

No, it doesn't. Running tetris in ten billion by ten billion resolution won't make the game look any better. It comes down to the quality of the textures and whatever else in the game itself.

Yes, because using a primitive 2D game really gets your point across.
You can run most PS1 and N64 games in larger resolutions, and that by default makes them look sharper, and if you take any game, drop the resolution but nothing else, you'd have to be blind not to notice the difference, I'm not adding any technical facts to the conversation, just the obvious stuff anyone would understand, go play any game within the last like 10 years that isn't already 2D, and look at two different resolutions (not ones within like a couple hundred of each other) and tell me theres 0 difference.

Whats true of tetris is true of any game, they are all simply pixels on a screen.

there isn't on a normal screen.... you can roll eyes all you want, but upping the resolution doesn't mean it gets double the detail..
You're exaterating.

Thats is the shallowest way I have ever heard anyone look at something, obviously they are pixels, but the amount matters, the FACT is, if you run GeoW in 800x600, 1280x720, or 1900x1200, there will be major jumps between each resolution, and it will look significantly better.
I wont ruin the ending for the Hermits as I could since those of us with 360's have played this game to death and it's so old hat but enjoy the ride; it's a great game.
Can't wait for Gears 2 on 360! ;)

Obviously my point has going completely over your head. A game is only going to look as good as the resolutions it is designed for.
Simply spouting some random high resolution doesn't mean its going to make the game look significantly better. Whether its Tetris or Crysis the point remains.

Well, thats true to a point, but I mean, I got like Half Life 2, and who knows what the highest resolution was 3 or nearly 4 years ago, but I can make it run in 1680x1050 and it looks better then in like the 1280x720 that was probably the highest it was designed for. (I'm not going to look this up, numbers aren't meant to make the point, just general idea).
Considering when GeoW is being released, it should have at least the ability to play in 1900x1200, I understand your point, but if he said like 2500x1600 or w/e the 30" resolution is, then it would be very valid, but when you mention a pretty basic resolution, it doesn't stand so strongly.

Can't wait for Gears 2 on 360! :D
PS: Oh wait you do get a new ending I think - hmm - tell me if it was worth waiting - though I would rather have it when 360 owners got it then waiting a year & the new ending will be a DL for 360. :)

The other point is that PC gamers generally sit up close, whereas consoles are more commonly played from TV's. The sitting difference makes a big difference, as does the fact that HD TV's can't do more than 1080p and reasonably priced ones sit comfortably at 720p. GeOW will look better on PC's, but that isn't just because you can slap on some insane resolution and call it a night.
God PC people are all about resolution and sound and Geforce tenbillion chips. So stupid...
MAN my Graphics Card and screen resolution beats yours!! GOD... PCs are so gay

To be fair 360/PS3 owners can be a lot worse, especially to Wii owners when it comes to graphics. You can garantee that any post about a Wii game or the console itself will contain at least one person who will put down the Wii because it does not support HD like the 360/PS3.
What I find funny is that this same people will complain when PC owners put down the 360/PS3 because it can not achieve the graphical or resolutions that a PC can. Oh well....
I think your PC likes you, I wouldn't turn my back on it.God PC people are all about resolution and sound and Geforce tenbillion chips. So stupid...

You've never even played Gears. Those pics are from the PC version, and anyone who's played Gears would be able to instantly tell simply because the gameplay icons are different.
last time i played gears was about 6 months ago. it was an honest mistake as i just said. the bottom one looks so bad.

How does it look bad? You know there's some motion blur/depth of field going on, right? Look at how sharp the first enemy model is.
Looks about the same....but you will need a $2000 PC to run it at a high resolution.turgorePretty much and to think this is a OLD 360 title going to the PC !
