This time, I agree with you. It looks amazing. I played the demo on the District 9 a while back and I'm completely pumped for the real deal. I haven't played 1 or 2, but I have enough games for now without the Collection, also I think it'll be more fun if I don't have the prior knowledge to detect any rehashing :P. Anyway, rambling, in short it looks awesome.Looks awesome as expected.

lol that probably wasnt neccessary but man that does look impressive , I said i thought it would look better then UNC2 and it looks like im right that looks stunning.
Great visuals, the second pic really does look like a painting. I'm sure the final game will look astonishing in motion. I'm concerned about the boasted 1080p visuals however. A native resolution of 1920x1080 requires quite a bit of memory bandwidth. I just don't see how GOW3, a game needing 35-60FPS at anytime (hovering near the upper range most of the time), can maintain 1080p. I would prefer 1280x720 with high resolution textures 4XMSAA over 1080p, no AA, med-high resolution textures.Brainhunter
At digtal foundry they found the demo to be running in native 720p with 2xMSAA

I really doubt they can pull that off. I'm more than fine with 720p.

It's just easier to say, "this game looks awesome I can't wait for it!"
amazing pics... cant wait to get this game (huge GOW fan here) :)
I am truly starting to believe that Uncharted2 will be seriously challenged in the visuals dept and most probably GOW3 will be the best looking title on PS3,maybe eventhe next 'console' graphics king..

Wow did not hear that, but it looks great either way. I enjoyed the demo and it looked good but the final product looks to impress thats for sure.wooooodeI think the game director said it when he was playing it and being interviewed by GS at E3.. i'll take a look and see if that's right.
I still find it hard to believe that they'll actually pull that off. Weren't they also talking about 60fps?Confirmation about what i just said before is in this video here skip to 7 mins in.

[QUOTE="Tessellation"]non gameplay camera angles - check original screenshot is 5000x3000 - check downscaled to 720 - check and you have your average console bullshot get back at us when they actually show real screenshots and no bullshots, consoles can't do 24xMSAA and is more than obvious..the demo had aliasing issues.EliteKitteh
Mmmkay ;)

Eh I dont think that's such a good idea. It's so noticeable when you have a drop in framerate. If you stay at 30 throughout though it feels fine. They're smart guys though and know how to make a good game, so I'm sure they'll make it work.

prove me wrong.prove urself right first....[QUOTE="Tessellation"][QUOTE="EliteKitteh"]prove me wrong.prove urself right first.... Sounds to me like his assumptions about it are made off from him thinking that the camera isnt from gameplay, which leads me to believe he's never seen a gameplay video ever. You dont control the camera in the game it moves by itself to give a more cinematic view, although some of those images are obviously zoomed in to show off the detail on kratos's character model.Mmmkay ;)
