I don't think this has been posted or if this article is 100% trust worthy, but it's better then nothing.

It claims to offer a damage system that can cause pieces of your car to crack off like real fiber glass.

It offers full car customization and the ability to do engine swaps from one car to another.

Web Browser to buy car parts...(This can be terrible if you must pay real money..)

And as we all saw the WRC and Nascar license.

Also the information is a little bit off because the original site is in dutch, but this site tried to translate the info.

PS. This is not a fanboy site they offer other sites for the other consoles. There's a xbox.qj.net, pc.qj.net, etc.

I actually do believe that GT5 will have damage etc but...

...you cant take the word of a site such as this which at best is quoting a dutch community site.

I agree. None the less it's still info that people should here. Maybe it will be confirmed or denied in the opm uk magazine coming out.

We already knew GT5 was going to get a damage modeling system. We just don't know to what extent. Putting damage modeling in racing cars is easy (since race car buyers want that data anyway before buying). The hard part is putting the damage modeling into street cars (since accurate modeling can make a street car that the average joe can buy look bad--not good for a struggling car manufacturer).

This game will really give PS3 sales a kick up the backside if it's released before Christmas.

I just can't imagine why a car manufacturer would think damaged car models in a videogame would affect their revenue. I just hope PD don't compromise the realism of the game just so that they can get every car in there.

Read what I wrote. Why do people read titles then post? I'll repost it especially for you...

"It claims to offer a damage system that can cause pieces of your car to crack off like real fiber glass."

This ha snot been verified to be true or not. Just a rumor.

I believe it was an on-going lie by Polyphony.

Most street cars don't use fiberglass bodies, so neither that nor anything else you wrote tells us nothing about the future of damage modeling.

If true, I'm going to put a Saleen S7 engine in a 1980's Mini Cooper. Epic win, major sleeper car.

If thats possible then thats going to be win! I bet the S7's engine would take up the whole chassis.

The source does not seem credible to me after I read "ferrari's sporting audi engines" especially since GT is all about realism etc... Even Forza does not allow the transfer of engines between different manufacturers. Or the translation was completely wrong and it is suppose to mean something else.

As long as the damage isn't purely aesthetic I would be happy. Since damage is confirmed right now i'm more concerned about how they will handle the online

You mean GT5, anyways this type of response was bound to happen. Don't really care since i'll be getting both. I just want Forza 3 to get Logitech DFP wheel support.

The Forza series owes its very existence to Gran Turismo. I don't mind a bit of pilfering either way as long as the end result is good.
