Looks fantastic.

I agree. The use of predominantly black and white against tidbits of color is very well done. Killing Floor 2's looks very obnoxious and overdone in comparison. The fire effect in which he hunts down a woman (possibly a feminist) and then proceeds to burn her alive was also pretty visually cool looking.

Overall: quite polished looking for an indie game.

Irregardless of the subject matter it looks pretty shit, reminds me of plenty of mediocre PS2 games and at least most of them were goofy and over the top instead of trying to be super edgy with a main character who sounds like he's reading the Tumblr post of an angry 14 year old.

I'm all about violence in games but I would be embarrassed for someone to see that in my collection. He sounds like all the losers that have shot up college campuses and schools for no other reason then being a sad excuse of a human being. Politicians will have a heyday with this.

Wish this engine was used to make a good game. Visually it looks good but boring without any quests.

Kinda disappointed Hatred dosn't have dog execution, well in the trailers at least.

That's pretty much optional unless it's part of your objectives. And GTA has a story even though they're not the best.

Hatred is just literally a mindless pandemonium game which again, greatly lacks substance.

To try and avoid any confusion: it's about context.

GTA context: satirical criminals playing out a fantastical story about robbing and killing when forced and not...on the side goofy looking animations and physics go well with optional free roam mayhem.

HATRED context: kill innocent mothers bc you're mad at the world for pissing in your cheerios.

If HATRED has more to it than tjay, then it's their fault for not showing more.....Then again....that wouldn't make any noise.

Am I the only person who dosn't understand what difference it makes? Killing is killing regardless of reason for doing said killing. So if your motive is to murder and steal that is OK, but if you just want to murder that is bad? makes sense.

I'm happy it didn't get banned by people disinterested in gaming and wanting merely to control the lives of others.

But I think it looks ridiculous. The man is pathetic. Instead of standing up for himself and taking responsibility for the world around him he cries and gets a gun out and shoots innocents. I'd feel guilty playing it, not because of any moral implications but because I'd think "what am I doing with my life?"

I like how he grills the chick at 0.40, but what else is there? The game seems like a rampage mission with nothing else. Not interested.

They should make an expansion/DLC where you get to play as a unspecified terrorist in city. Could have some better objectives like planting bombs in trashcans or boarding public transport with a backpacks of explosives, maybe even make it so you can control multiple people.

Make a map creator where people can plan their own objectives. Or would that be going too far?

Watching this trailer boredom seems to be the inevitable. Lol at people wanting to day 1 this shit. Each to his own.

We haven't seen any substantial gameplay beyond concept. When it comes to structure: objectives, level design, weapons, very little has actually been shown. The subject matter has been the focus, not the actual game.

Many people (including this thread as well as journalists) are going by a snowflake of information and attempting to construe it as bad: a piss poor guise for the fact they and don't like subject matter or manner it's been advertized.

You can call it cheap: but at the end of the day: it's working. Reading polygon articles giving wanky "oh think of the children" opinionated dribble is part of the entertainment package and most likely going to inadvertently increase the games sales: much to the lulz of the developers.

I'm not buy this game out of principle of this game having mindless violence. You can bring the whole GTA argument but I counter that by saying GTA was never meant to be a murder game. But Hatred will appeal to someone just not me.

Even games like GTA allow you to play like a psycho but that's not the premise of the game.

Definitely looks like another PC exclusive. Will metacritic in the 70s.

Some parts of the trailer looked cool but most of the time it looked worse than the original trailer, graphics wise.

The protagonist definitely has mental issues, and that justifies the gameplay actions.
