I don't know what Free Radical was thinking with the delay. Haze was going to be a flop regardless, but it would've done better commercially if they released it closer to the beginning of the year. Releasing it as a PS3 exclusive between the releases of GTA4 and MGS4 (both of which will have strong multiplayer components), and a few short months before Resistance 2 and Killzone 2 come out, doesn't strike me as very smart. Nobody's gonna buy it.

Haha yeah then they gonna blame sony and the ps3 for the floppage like Factor 4.5 and jump ship to make a Wii exclusive game or 360.

The random things the rebels said in the video seemed very repetitive and reminded me of killzone. Also, the voice acting sounded pretty bad. And where are the enemies, those videos had like 2-4 enemies in a room.

Haze is a FPS game, how the hell it is going to be ignored by gamers?

MGS4 and GTA4 are two of the biggest games this year, but that doesn't mean they are also FPS games, the first one is a third person stealth game and the other game is an action game. :?

The gameplay looks amazing, I agree with you though with the lack of enemies ( maybe it is only a demo or something like that), but it showed what this game is all about, it is a fast paced FPS game with alot of new ideas.

By SW logic it looks awful, in real life logic, it is amazing, ask anybody interested in FPS games and show him the videos, then wait for their impressions on the game, for me, every one of my friends are excited for the game.

Haze is going to PWN, last year everybody was excited for the game more than resistance 2, Killzone 2 and Halo 3, and that was before the game becoming PS3 only, this year, what a weird logic happens in SW, I hope it scores great only to shut some mouthes.

I hope someone finds an old post for Haze and see what Im talking about.

HAZE-Unit, just because you think this game looks like the greatest thing since sliced bread, it does not mean that everyone else should follow suit. Hell, I hope that it does end up proving my current impressions wrong, and ends up being great. But sorry to say, I just do not expect that to happen for me personally. I hope you enjoy it though, man.

They are the same videos we all saw from last year, it is only fanboys effected the image of the game because of the lamest reason in history IMO which is the delays and PS3 only, there is nothing changed in gameplay and if you want to see the old videos, I'll provide you with it.

Even the few lines of the story between shane and his commander in the jungle level sounded interesting.

I guarantee you if it was any other game with this new info and short story lines were heard, everybody would be pumped up for the game.

Looks fun to me. I think a 8 or 8.5 best. Also it has 4 player co-op off line and online for the main story and just the usal DM,TDM and whatever els they have. Also the 2 groups have dif techniques so it has some variety. I think that will help the game.

The trailers looked exciting and hyped me, but the gameplay, sound, and everything else is just boring and borderline insulting. It amazes me that Free Radical is going to put out such a game. It looked like it had promise in the fancy trailers. I named it as one of my most hyped games on System Wars, but after seeing everything without the fancy bits of a trailer, it shows its true self, and I'm not impressed at all. As ironcreed said, I also hope I'm wrong, but I don't see that happening. These video's looked worse than a lot of 7.0 games.

i gave the videos a second chance and they werent as bad as my first impression. Just some fixes and this game still has potential...

Sorry, my friend, I am not "making excuses". The game just does appeal to me anymore, despite the fact that it once did....and I am far from alone in that regard. The delays are only a contributing factor, and also is usually a typical sign that a game has problems. Alot of the hands-on reports have not sounded very encouraging to me either, but that is just me. Enjoy the game, man, lol.

I will buy this game and I'm pretty damn sure that I'm going to enjoy the hell out of it.

What I find interesting is that everyone who says "flop" has little else to say. That's not a very compelling argument. Sorry.

Am I seeing the same footage here? How can everyone tell the graphic is good/bad on that low res streaming video? Gameplay didnt look anything special though.

I'm thinking the exact same thing. I originally planned to get this back in January, but delay after delay really killed the hype for me. I'll still rent a copy though and if it's a good game I might even buy it if it has good coop/multiplayer.
