Here's a new trailer for that game. Looks abit shit. It has an Nvidia logo grafix so Pc gamers will buy it by default. Has DLLS. Look 2% better for only £500.

CES 2019 opens this week at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The annual expo is expected to feature all manner of digital delights, as demonstrated by Electronic Arts, who have kicked things with a tech-heavy trailer for their upcoming game, Anthem.

Hosted in association with visual tech-heads NVIDIA, the 100 second clip features glorious 4K footage of the upcoming sci-fi epic, no doubt showcased at maximum technical capacity and features luscious graphics, smooth movement and exciting visual effects.

Also noted in the trailer is Anthem's support of Deep Learning Super-Sampling (DLSS) an incredibly intense version of anti-aliasing that will provide incredibly smooth lines by "learning" a game's colour palette and applying matching pixels to further clarify model edges.

This game does not look very fun, graphics look great, not sure what its trying to be, kinda looks like Destiny, Gears, and Just Cause had an attractive butt baby. I will wait to see how this plays out, i dont trust anything by EA at this point.

Watched it earlier and it does look pretty cool but I'll be waiting until well after launch to see what the consensus is. :P

Technically looks stunning, the game it self... I don't know. It will probably be shit like most online games and a vehicle to sell shit to dumb gamers. But anyway I hope I'm wrong and it turns out good. It will still be better than anything Activision shits but that's not saying much.

If people can enjoy the mess that is Gears, then this game should be fine.

An apt description. No identity nor excitement. When I look at how they are presented this, and how Arenanet presented Guild Wars 2, it's night and day.

World Of Warcraft is another example of much better marketing, the game itself looks like PS2 shit, so they wow (hu hu), the audience with CGI trailers that look nothing like the game.

Guess it will be shit, looks like shit and will be reviewed shit, all in all the game is shit.

You know, it still looks like Destiny with mechs and a dash of Warframe, and I still hate EA with a burning passion, but one thing I am somewhat impressed with is BioWare's level of communication. The devs have been having regular livestreams to show off the build in progress and answer player questions, sort of similar thing to what Digital Extremes like to do - and miles ahead of Bungie in this regard.

If nothing else, I expect this to be a very solid game. Destiny should be worried.

Terrible. What is there to actually like?

The only thing I can say I like about Destiny is it plays and feels like Halo in a sense, but Destiny 2 being on PC made me dislike Destiny even less. The PC version just gives me less reason to not shit all over it. That said, I like anything with Mechs, I love Sci-Fi and from everything I saw from Anthem up to this point, I'm really looking forward to it more so. I think Bungie is aware they are taking a huge risk, they want to communicate with the fans as much as they can cause this is clearly a risk situation.

All in all, I hope everything works out for Bungie in the end.

Ill give any co-op PvE game a try. This could be ok... if they nail the contorls and mobility it could be downright good. Id say great, but I know I will have to tread through a bioware narrative.

GW2 did a lot of things wrong, but at least it had vision. It is amazing how much of the presentation remained the same from this teaser trailer to launch. Sticking to its guns (and identity) rather than chasing trends.

@jeezers: it looks like a flying heavy open world warframe. Warframe is not fun to watch but it's fun to play. So lets not get into blind hate here.

Gears of war with flying, Meh.

Why in God's name would you expect ANYTHING out of Bioware? Especially putting yourself up for complete disappointment by getting hyped over whatever the Hell they're working on.

Dragon Age 2, i don't know what the f.uck they were doing here - i mean, i know the audience they were aiming this video game at, a different one than Origins, but daaamn. The quality of writing took a huge hit compared to Origins, the writing just generally falls flat and is overall mediocre to shit (the characters are poorly written caricatures), the mission design was horrible, the excessive re-use of assets throughout the entire game made the environments boring as Hell, so not even a damn please to the eye.

Albeit still a good game with solid writing, Mass Effect 3 was a noticeable drop in overall quality that was especially marred by an ending to a whole trilogy that was not only shitty, but was also insanely deceitful because of all the promise laid by the previous games and by Bioware themselves.

This was a hint concerning future things to come from Bioware, unfortunately. Dragon Age: Inquisition was extraordinarily mediocre, not shit, not good, not great, it was just a flat line, the flattest you can possibly imagine. The writing was bad, the world was boring and uninteresting and the combat was mediocre - bad. There's a reason no one talks about this game, it's because it's the finest example of a mediocre, forgettable piece of shit. Mass Effect: Andromeda is pretty much one of the worst games released in recent years.

I'm down for this, I love the designs of the mechs here and the sci fi elements. Having mechs I feel will work to it's advantage as opposed to having suits like in Warframe and destiny. Warframe plays great but the Warframe designs look terrible to me.

Seems pretty obvious. Dragon Age: Origins was primarily aimed at PC Gamers, a promise of hankering back to the times of Baldurs Gate.

But, EA, being EA, wanted to also market it to the normie. So, in "how do you do, fellow kids" fashion we ended up with this monstrosity.

Ultimately it sold more on consoles than PC. And what do console gamers like? Action games. Mass Effect! Let's abandon this kneck-beard bullshit and make DMC with medieval Shepard. Also make sure to give his sister big honkers, players like tits. But we need to still get the kneckbeards moneys???... so.... let's keep elements of the tactical pause and play, but still make it an action, ofc. Even though it's a mish-mash of shit that doesn't work!

What's the game supposed to be like? Like Destiny? The Division? I mean, is the game only fun if you're playing with others, or is it possible to play this solo without it becomming a total borefest?

And why are people comparing it with Gears? I don't see it.

I mean it can't be any worse* than Destiny and Borderlands, and people seem to enjoy those...for some reason. Hopefully it will be as good as Warframe and The Division, but more user-friendly and not so grindy.

Destiny, Division...yeah.

It's always-online, but you can play solo. Not sure if they will have AI companions (like Ghost Recon: Wildlands) or if the story-telling parts are solo-possible (i.e. with small video or audio briefs from NPC's).

The game meat and potatoes does seem to be co-op, though.

Not sure where the Gears comparisons are coming from. Maybe they see people in big armor and go on the defensive? Not armor, though, they're exosuits...don't see any Iron Man fanboys crying, only the Gears.

Looks pretty cool; looking forward to trying it out.

I like the visuals of the game. Some games I like because of the graphics. It lures me in. I saw the ign sneak peek voideo and it looked pretty boring to me. So, the sounds of the game isn't really that great.

Wow, quit with this narrative of misdiagnosing Bioware's problems. Lets go over this.

How was ME3 a "drop in quality" to ME2? Seriously, do people overlook the flaws of ME2 and DAO so much they talk out of their ass? ME3 has far better gameplay and a far better plot, as ME2's plot is extremely weak. Really if you want to get past the fanwank and look at it, ME2's plot is objectively far more nonsensical than MEA's.

DA2's problem was that its rushed, well guess what? Bioware rushed their games well before EA acquired them.

The problem with Bioware is that their formula is outdated and no longer works. Bioware really didn't get worse, everyone else got better.

No, bioware got worse. ME2 was a stellar game and first rate, compelling story in spite of some clunky game mechanics. ME3 had better mechanics but a weaker story, plus that's about when they started getting all PC with their in game dialogue. Plus that ending.

Everything they've put out since has been pure dreck. Andromeda, Inquisition - crapola. When they're hosting high quality people like Anita Sarkeesian at their game studios it's not hard to figure out why their games have gone to shit.

me2's story was mostly one long, drawn out recruitment drive iirc. arguing over which has the better story, me2 or me3, is like two bald men fighting over a comb. the first game blew them out the water story wise
