Please. Those are bad screenshots. Even the online-multiplayer beta looks better than Gears.
Yea, uhm i was in the beta and that screen looks even better. But the water is stagnant, it doesn't ripple when you walk on it or shoot it. So even though it kills Gears, i would like to see better physics. The fire effects are amazing though, and its strange that people have seen so little of the game and making so many statements about its over-all graphics. MGS4 had 5 different distinct looking location with 5 chapters, KZ2 will offer the same diversity in environments but with better graphics. I was in the beta as well, and yeah, it doesn't react now, but it has in many videos, and the beta was compressed quite a bit. I'm assuming it will react in the final game, why wouldnt it if it does in the videos? :/ That's not right, that looks like neither game! But that can't be right. :/ See, now both games do something similar. Different colours, in different environments, to emphasize different atmospheres. Look at the factory shot of Re5, bleak, dark and ranging from black to white with selective colouring -- similar to how the Helghast eyes stand out. Would I criticize that shot? No. Because it's ridiculous to troll a game over the colours used which I why I said "Not enough purple". Do you get it now? Or are you going to keep providing me with lulz? @ the screens above...both games look ugly on those :?Lto_thaGScreenshots usually look bad. When taken from direct gameplay that is. That's why it's always better to watch a video, or I dunno - play a game before judging it's graphics. But not always necessary. :) For example, here's a shot from the "current graphics king";
Certainly doesn't stack up to what I saw on my HDTV.
