I thought porting to other platforms was a good thing, especially when you guys talk about PC games. Bioware and EA want to make more money off a project thats already finished, there's nothing wrong with that. ;)
yeah that really sucks. I hope they atleast realize that a lot of people want a new KotoR. Even if Obsidian has to do it. How cool would it be to have both ME 2 and KotoR 3 next year :D
At the risk of sounding like a tin-foil hat wearing conspiracy theorist, I think EA got caught with their pants down and are trying to cover up. Bioware working on KOTOR 3 just makes so much sense:
Bioware is working with Lucasarts on a new project.
Between KOTOR 2 and NWN2 Obsidian hasn't demonstrated they can release a bug-free game, and they already have 2 or 3 titles on the go.
KOTOR was a very popular franchise and would be a great start to recouping that $860 million EA spent on Bioware/Pandemic, and Lucasarts isn't exactly banging out AAA titles.
Both Black and Boogie are sequel worthy franchises. Black was a solid game (if rough around the edges), and despite its critical/commercial failure Boogie is the type of game that should do very well on the Wii with better marketing.
Now that EA is in control of the Mass Effect franchise there won't be as much pressure on Bioware to bang out ME2.
Simply put there is no reason for Bioware not to be working on KOTOR 3. Bioware gets the chance to (presumably) finish of the KOTOR series/storyline and everyone makes money hand over fist.
