Okay I'm freaking amaze now. All that's left is the Beta news EA cause I want to test the waters out!
Already pre-order this bad boy for PC!

While I dont exactly like the fluidity of some skills and abilities. It is nice to have a pretty honest trailer at least.
Tell us about the game, dont show us flashy scenes that ultimately ammount to nothing.
On a side note, I urge BioWare to stop using Dark Energy. Dark Energy is starting to get misused to justify magic just as much as quantum mechanics is these days... sigh.
@Maroxad: I just think both Bioware/EA are avoiding too much since they show way too much for Mass Effect 3 and got all the backlash because of it. I will say it's nice for them to not talk about the main game too much but at the same time, this is somewhat poor marketing here.
I can't say that looks all that interesting to play. That game looks like it's about as "movement" as much as Quantum Break was, and just having a movement mechanic isn't going to speed up the game or add some nuance to the combat. The mechanics used against you must also hold up their end of the bargain, which is why Vanquish (on top of its scoring system and how its gun upgrade system works to a point) focus on mobility is all around more consistent and actively noticeable at higher level play, even if you can argue the boost is a glorified spruced up sprint.
This looks like, look we're doing what a lot of FPS games are doing, a double jump and a thruster strafe. If the level design is still some of that sloopy, inorganic, obvious combat arena bullshit you get from cover based shooters, especially Bioware's bad level design, then that thruster will be a more cute addition, than an actual significant improvement to the combat.
On the flip side, I do like that the skills you can upgrade are more than like 4 this time, so that's nice.
Cool, this looks better than I anticipated, although I was hoping they'd put in a weightier combat system. Everything seems so feather light and kinda cheap in terms of animation and weight. Just makes it look kind of easy.

Looks good overall,& the combat seems to be more fluid. Hopefully the AI is a bit smarter at higher difficulties; and hopefully our squad mates AI isn't bad either. I saw Cora using Biotic Charge, so maybe they've found a way for it to work in the game.
wow the combat actually looks fun
i'm sure that's bound to piss off people who wanted a game with combat that was as shitty and awful as mass effect 1
I just read your opening sentence, nice to see you are impressed. I'm stoked for this game, took a week off from work. However, I am 100% in media-blackout mode for this title, dont want to know anything about it before I experience it myself on day1.
Thanks for the heads up though and enjoy the free bump :)
Combat was the one area I was most worried about in this game, and man oh man, am I relieved. This looks pretty awesome.

They did not show much of ME3 at all actually. Quite the opposite.
There marketing and hype campaign was around Earth, where most of ME3 doesn't take place. And the only mission they really showed off pre release was SurKesh outside Earth.
The combat looks straight but the leveling system and knowing all the potential abilities to be used is awesome. I think there are people like me who will like the combat because of the ability to drag your favorite powers around in battle And there will be the others who will dislike it due to the general combat system.
Since there's no classes, i wonder if you can have Cloak+Singularity(or replace singularity with Warp)+Throw and spam bio bombs from stealth. Gonna be OP af if possible.
I wanted to get this on the PS4, to do the multiplayer with a bud, but meh, 60fps too good. 60fps>friends.
Wow, after watching this i might have to play the game on hard, with the combat this great it might make the game to easy on normal.
I don't feel like watching that video, but does vanguard charge still exist? If not, I'm not buying it.
Yes the Vanguard Charge is still there but has been seen huge improvements, the video doesn't really talk about the main game, just showing off combat controls and skills so there's really good vids to watch if your still curious on the Vanguard Charge.
