Remember the thread that made it very clear that they use different models for the conversations/up close cut scenes than the typical, in-game models? Good times.
I don't think you understand quite how dynamic level of detail works.
i want this game too , but thats not gameplay blackpretttyboy
the first screen not. the rest.. yep, gameplay.
Come on dude stop with the damage control. Just admit that the game looks good and move on ;). And if you find this game intresting then consider buying a 360.Remember the thread that made it very clear that they use different models for the conversations/up close cut scenes than the typical, in-game models? Actually he has a point. But the character models both ingame and in cutscenes are both amazing. If one doesn't believe it, they should look at gameplay footage and screens.

It's not damage control. Bioware admitted that those screens that look better then the gameplay are not gameplay but are rather used in conversations. It's the gameplay engine highly touched up to increase the detail level.

It is real time. The real time conversation engine.
I think those comments were that the game was interactive in that form, not that that was what the whole game would run like. Still, anyone who believes this won't look good is on some pretty good drugs.
Ingame footage outside of conversations looks amazing, nothing less.

game play graphics = the win. not some cutscence ingame (thatyou have no control over or just watching)with less poeple less draw distance/blur in the backgroundwith high texture quality for charmodels. this game fails.
Yes, they are all in real time. The only difference is that when in conversation, a depth of field is employed so a little more detail is used on the characters. It's not like there's a loading screen or like it's a cutscene. When the bashers of ME found this out I guess they just started assuming the conversations will look incredible and 12392398 times better than the gameplay.
Come on people, you're kidding yourself if you don't think this game will look amazing in both gameplay and convos.

You obviously don't know much about the game or it's creators. The cutscenes are interactive, not something you just watch.
Previews display you controlling the tone and what the character says.

Oh yay, interactive cutscenes. So if Square adds interactivity to FFXIII's cutscenes, does that mean they count as gameplay?

Uh, yes.
It's a part of the experience. It was in KOTOR, and what made KOTOR fun. You helped craft the story.
:|
Or are you refering to them being ingame shots?
But you must be kidding? Interactive cutscenes add to the gameplay. KOTOR proved that. Morrowind did it. It makes you craft the story and become a bigger part of the overall experience.

Um no they dont. Some noob tried to say they did that on Heavnely sword as well and they fact is they dont. The only difference is you see more details while the camera is close up its still the exact same models.
