It was inevitable really. The new setting I mean. Its welcome though because a modern setting is required. But the action in the trailer looks VERY similair to that of COD's Modern Warfare series.

You're saying this like the MW games took place in some fantastical setting. The term non-obviousness comes to mind.

Well, COD copied Medal of Honor first. SO this is more of a return to form.

Its similar but theres only so much you can take out of the modern setting, were not still fighting Nazi's and Japenese people anymore.

The Call of Duty series is a bit of 'me too' from the Medal of Honor series.

I chose not to vote, since it isn't unique, but it isn't copying Modern Warfare. Call of Duty copied Medal of Honor, and Modern Warfare wasn't unique either. Also, we don't know crap about Medal of Honor except the setting. This is really getting old. It seems that any military game today is automatically a CoD rip-off.

"pretty unique" and "fully unique" are two phrases that make no sense whatsoever. By nature, something unique is already different to anything else. it is either unique or not unique.

anyhoo... it does look fairly similar.

A game can take place in the same setting and still be exciting and new. Just look at Battlefield, it's completely different from CoD yet still in the modern setting. DICE is doing the MP, and not the SP. The SP is clearly where the comparisons are being drawn.

Medal of Honor's single player is going to be short, too over-the-top, and have a horrid story? I sure as hell hope not.

Well I wouldnt say copy. As the devs who made the first great MOH game is pretty much the same guys who formed IW. So they pretty much took back what they created. Kinda like what happened with Guitar Hero and Rock Band.

This comment could apply to almost all other post on GS. Would save mods the hassle of looking through hundreds of similar and sometimes exactly the same threads.

How about waiting till we know more about the game other than the fact that it's in a modern setting before we start labeling it a CoD ripoff?

Or better yet, how about let's wait until we actually get to play a demo/beta, or the full game before we judge it? :P

medal of honor : call of duty guitar hero : rock band both were an original studio (2015, which largely became infinity ward) that started making a series (medal of honor: aa!) and then continued doing what they do best somewhere else (infinity ward)

guys, their military shooters- there is no such thing as being a copycat with this stuff. thats like saying one golf course is copycatting another. theres only so many ways you can design a par 4. sure you can have lots of detail and have perfect grooming, but its still 350-450 yards of grass.

Obviously EA didn't get the memo that the CoD series obviously now has the modern warfare setting on lock. You guys do realise how ridiculous this sounds, right?
