They better keep this a real adventure game and not some lame action game. With the Wiimotes they can even keep it point and click!

No way?! Please don't mess it up. Well, Telltale has done a great job with Sam & Max, so I trust 'em. This is awesome sauce.

While that may be true, Lucas Arts and Sierra are the gods of adventure games. This is like if nintendo made a Kings Quest game. I'm sure I'm still going to get this but still. :P

They messed it up. They already corrected the info...

---------------------------------

It's with great pleasure that I received a few minutes ago the announcement of the upcoming periodical release of Tales of Monkey Island, developed by Telltale for Wiiware and PC.

Lucasarts is also working on a HD remake of the first game called The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, for PC and XBLA.

So is the remake of Secret of Monkey island the same game or is it different? I'm watching the video on it and I don't remember some of that stuff happening in the original.

Pirate700

All the people who worked on the Lucas Arts adventure games have left Lucasarts.

And 3/4 of them have joined Telltale. Some joined Tim Schafer over at Double Fine. And the rest have sort of scattered around the industry...

But Telltale has been scooping up the remaining Lucasarts alumni over the past year or so...

And Tim Schaffer didn't even have a hand in MI3, IIRC, which was unarguably the best in the series.

They are busy. But in the FAQs it did say that Ron Gilbert did come to their office to brainstrom. Also Dave Grossman was one of the people who worked on Monkey Island.

Really .. that's good, I hope some more info is there on the secret :P . I just hope it has the amazing fantasy exploration of the original games. Well E3 is certainly off to a good start .the best thing is of course Lucas Arts is not making it :)

Monkey Island 2 would like to have a quiet chat with you, in a back-alley somwhere. :P

Um...anyway, greatest E3 ever. I have nothing more to add. Already pre-ordered.
