Do yourself a favour and get the first one. It has a better progression in difficulty and much better list of songs... at least... much better performed songs.

this may surprise you, but not everyone shares the same view as Gamespot.
I do in this case. I think rating certain games so high does indeed ruin your credibility--the same as it would if you rated a certain game way too low. In which case, Game Informer has no review credibility at all. Luckily for them, their previews are unparalleled (exclusive developer interviews etc...).
