Don't really know how to confirm this as I don't have Portal on my PC or consoles (I completed it on a friend's computer), but apparently:

Portal: Still Alive Is Portal + Free PC Map Pack?

Portal: Still Alive was announced during E3 last week. It bundles the original Portal with some "additional content", and it's due for release on XBLA. And ever since, PC owners have been complaining, wondering why 360 owners are getting new stuff while they're not. Well, according to former Shacknews boss Chris Remo, the "additional content" isn't necessarily "new content", as he says the bonus maps are those found in Portal: The Flash Version MapPack. Which PC owners can already get. For free.

Kotaku

If this is true, I'd have to find it hillarious after the big deal everyone seemed to make out of this E3 announcement :P

Who cares, no one wants to play a PC with a million requirements and mouse and keyboard combination. I'll wait for the Xbox version.

Well thats fantastic. I am not buying these maps

1- Portal on its own was enough the game was awesome.
2- The only reason why i have The Orange Box for 360 and Not PC...was well because i got my new laptop well after OB came out(GOD DAMN I should have gotten it quicker)
3- I am tired of getting nickel and dimed Microsoft(D-Bags).

I guess me, the TC, Skrat, and god knows how many people who bought The Orange Box on PC must not want to play on PC.....

oh wait Its a Valve game. Valve= PC. Meaning the PC userbase is where the game really makes the money....I'm sure the 360 owners won't mind being miled....again.

Whatever I'm sick of PC gamers constantly trying to prove how much better PC gaming is, you sound like snobs. Everyone knows that a high end PC will look better than any console, but some people would rather sacrifice a little bit of quality for accessablity, without having to worry if a certain game will actually run on my console or if it meets the certain requirements for each game, and believe it or not some people actually prefer a controller too, I know crazy right. Get over yourselves.

nobody was saying consoles suck

you were the first one to come in and start damage control....when nobody even started anything

So how have the PC gamers made themselves out to be snobs in this thread.

Okay, there games on the PC which have high requirements, but Portal is definately not one of them.

Minimum system requirements:

Windows 98/98se/2000/Me/XP
1.2GHz level CPU(E.G, Pentium III/Pentium 4, T-Bird/Athlon XP processors)
256MB of RAM
32MB-64MB VRAM Direct-X 7 level graphics card(E.G, GeForce 1/2/4 MX series, Radeon 7xxx series)
~3 GB free HDD space
Mouse and Keyboard
Internet Connection

Recommended system requirements:

Windows 2000/XP
2.4 GHz level CPU(I.E, Pentium 4/Prescott, Athlon XP/64 processors)
512MB of RAM
128MB-256MB VRAM DX9 compatible video card(I.E, Radeon 9800/X800 series, GeForce 6/6800 series)
~4 GB free HDD space
Mouse and Keyboard
Internet Connection

My old PC, sitting in the corner of my room, lying is disrepair from lack of use could easily run Portal...................

And, since the PC version of a console game inevitably looks better, you can afford to not run it on full settings and it will still look as good, if not better, than the console equivelant.

I know Portal does'nt have high requirements, it was a statement about PC gaming and gamers in general.

Yeah this has been known for awhile, it's just the original portal game + extra maps that are in the flash version.

Thereisn't any new story or anything. Great for those that don't own TOB but other than that it's not worth buying. I'd hope they bring out the map pack for TOB as well..but i doubt that somehow. Still, we have Banjo 1+2 and that's enough for me.

I haven't worried about system requirements for any game in the past 4 years. Strange, huh?

I'm betting not considering you pay almost double for your games on console and get micro-owned on everything including playing online .

It used to be at a high price. Not anymore, gone are the days of spending $600 on a graphics card. With the 4850 at less then $200, Core2Duos vary form $100 to $1000(and not varying that much in performance, unless you want to overclock) and RAM now being dirt cheap, there is no reason to worry about system requirements anymore. An $800 system can get you an excellent PC nowadays, especially in the US.

Mind you, I still like my PS3 albeit just for MGS4 and a few singleplayer exclusives. I can tell you that console multiplayer is nothing compared to PC multiplayer. It just doesn't compare.

You can call me an elitist jerk, I don't care and I don't even see how the term can apply anymore. Spending upwards of $1000 today on a PC is only for people who want to play at very high resolutions and simply want bragging rights. I spent $3000 on a PC before and I don't regret it, however the PC hardware market today is seeing great things. It really is an excellent time to start PC gaming, in my opinion.
