New Prince of persia announced for 2010

" Ubisoft has confirmed the existence of a new Prince of Persia game subtitled The Forgotten Sands.

The game will be released "on consoles and handhelds" in May 2010, and feature elements you'll recognise from the Sands of Time series and exciting new elements you won't. "

I don't know weather to be excited or sad. I love prince of persia alot and the newest installment was fantastic but, from what im reading here...it seems that they are going to abandon the story of Elika and her city? I mean, i enjoyed the story alot and the ending was a cliffhanger...i wanted to know what happens next. I hope they don't abadon it.

The Fallen King takes place after the Prince of Persia on the PS3&360.

I can only hope they scrap every mechanic from the game, and go back to its original game play mechanics. Prince of Persia was ridiculously boring to play, puzzles sucked, and the combat was mind numbing. idk how the story progressed cause i couldnt force myself to play anymore after the 1st couple hours.

what!? you actually want them to continue the crappy new pop franchise with elika?....that game was terrible. the whole 1 vs 1 fight system killed the entire game. platforming is easy as hell that just feels like the game is playing it self. not being able to die.....many more complaints....sands of time series was the best and ubi knows it....

I thought the last Prince of Persia game was a flop. Oh well, I guess it shouldn't surprise me that they're going to keep on milking it even if it flops every time.jalexbrown

It doesn't sound like they are going to abandon the new Prince of Persia. They are probably just putting it on hold briefly, but if they actually abandon it I will be so mad.

Anyway I am not excited for this one, mostly because it is probably a movie tie in game and most of these games don't turn out to be great.>_>

I read somewhere that the new POP is a tie in with the movie so im not excited at all. (and the last one was probably one of the only games ive ever spent money on and couldnt stand to see it all the way through.)punkrocker163

I hope they don't try and cash in on the Sands of Time series just for the sake of a lousy movie tie-in. If they're going to go back to that storyline, they should do it properly. Silent-Hal

the only thing Sands of Time is better then Two Thrones is the whole "story book feel" plus thats an opinion. Two Thrones platforming and combat are both superior. Anyway I hope this doesn't tie into the movie because from what I've seen the movie doesnt look all that great.

As for PoP 2008 didn't like it much. The story was asomewhat interesting but thats about it.

Last POP was really lame and boring. And lame charectars too. Lame, lame lame

I was hoping for a sequel to PoP 2008 (I actually enjoyed the game)
